You have already exceed the strength of the half shafts Ford installed in your car. The "all kinds of weird traction problems" are the only thing saving your half shafts.
Oh, when you say track, you mean a drag strip? Not a race track. Sorry. I figured with 10" fronts and 11" rears . . . I was thinking about a real race track.

I think I am safely past the really cold weather here in Georgia.
I put about 4000 miles on the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires.
They look new. No cracking or other issues are visible. Tires are grippy and performed well no matter how cold once the tires warmed up...

Just FYI, the Trofeos and the PS4S are nothing at all alike in colder weather. It is not even close. I know this from experience driving both in colder weather. I posted about that in the same thread. The Trofeos would slip even trying to get the car moving under normal or light...
