  1. What's your second generation of choice

Yeah; off subject but what isn't a no-brainer is scooping up a 4v new edge which can at least be brought up to factory Coyote levels and in the case of the Termi, at least as high up as the current Sleeper Pack. Combine that with the legendary exhaust note, true toploader and less...
  2. What's your second generation of choice

Because the 4.6 3v has the legendary sbf/modular exhaust note and some simple mods can bring it up to speed; I remember when Brenspeed managed a 12.60 with one on slicks, 4.10's and a CAI+93 octane tune.
  3. Maybe the tripod should be banned

egg on my face; I fixed it :) I suppose an s197 GT500 or Termi can wreak the same amount of havoc but those were not as commonplace and relatively affordable compared to the Coyote cars.
  4. Maybe the tripod should be banned

Wagging my finger at the Coyote crowd; another one of yall...18 year old minor league baseball player over in Bradenton (which ironically has a 1/4 mile track for legal speeding) with a tripod on his 5.0 weaving in and out of traffic. Triggered a multi-car accident which resulted in the loss...
  5. What's your second generation of choice

Check this vid; good stuff starts at 13:30. Legendary exhaust note. Is the 2003 Ford Mustang Mach 1 more ICONIC than the 2021 Mach 1?
  6. What's your second generation of choice

Yeah there aren't many Mustangs at local shows but one guy brings an Orange Mach 1 with the 351 and 4-speed; really sweet.
  7. What's your second generation of choice

Really? that was considered the bad year since they updated the body a bit but still gave you the 4.6 3v with the 5.0 dropping in '11. The exterior updates made it look less retro but I guess they were grasping at different ideas to combat sales dropping off. The true tragedy of the 4.6 3v...
  8. What's your second generation of choice

If someone were going to drop a relatively run-of-the-mill V8 mustang in your lap that were not an s650 what would you like I like that 03-04 Mach 1; I test drove a green '99 GT 5-spd when I was 23 but didn't have the nuggets to pull the trigger on payments.
  9. Why aren't you changing your own oil?

They never find any plaque and tbh it's a racket; same as dropping your out-of-warranty vehicle off and saying "I think it's broke" or "check around for any maint and repair needs." They're always trying to get me for white filling swaps or a whitening.
  10. Why aren't you changing your own oil?

I floss so I don't need to go; they never find any plaque. Also dentists and hygienists have undergone a lot of training whereas lube techs as a general rule have not.
  11. Why aren't you changing your own oil?

Most ppl in this thread have a lot more faith in the dealership service department than I ever could; then again I worked there. Saw drain plugs finger tight and forgotten to wrench down, oil filters unchanged due to pita to get to (Cavalier w/ OD trans was great for that one), debut of Hemi...
  12. How's your shifter?

  13. Why aren't you changing your own oil?

Yeah my father has a shop and hates every second of working on cars whether it be his or someone else's; absolute furthest thing from his mind when he isn't getting paid. Since I'm basically retired at this point I look forward to fixing stuff and doing maintenance on my car to pass the time...
  14. Why aren't you changing your own oil?

yeah I'd love a lift. 19 years ago I put my Hurst shifter and CHE chassis brace w/ torque limiters in using only car ramps but I guess I've gotten stouter because I can barely wedge under there these days to check for loose connections.
  15. Why aren't you changing your own oil?

In 19 years of ownership I've never once let anyone else change it. During the ownership of my previous car my job said we'd have to pay to do our own services so it was cheaper just to have Honda do it and of course they overfilled it and shrugged it off as not a big deal. I don't care if I...
  16. How's your shifter?

I test-rowed a 5.0 and while not awful to the point of swapping it out before the drive home, it could definitely be improved upon. Even though the shifter in the DH appears to be a much improved and shorter profile design, I did notice MGW triumphantly announce a unit to fit the TR-3160. So...
  17. How's your splitter holding up

Lol so this kiddo is eating curbs hard enough to pop the fascia right out of the fenders on both sides. It takes like, five seconds to line it up and pop it back in. Kids these days just driving it around like that. Same issue with a girl across the street bottoming out on speed bumps in the...
  18. How's your splitter holding up

Well, wasting time is a bit of a stretch. That reminds me of kiddos in World of Warcraft complaining about wasting time while ironically playing a game that in fact was a complete waste of time. If you're surfing the forums on a Sunday you've probably got some time to kill. For the record my...
  19. How's your splitter holding up

Hey maybe if things go a certain way and I decide on an s650 but can't find a GT PP that I like, I'll get a DH but the first thing I said when I first saw one in person was "whoa that splitter is coming off the car on the way home from the dealer." My neighbor has an s550 with an aftermarket...
