That whine has a lot of do with it for me which is why I would want
yeah it's funny how the FRPP catalog whipple is silent as kiddos no longer love that signature eaton whine and according to some things I've read are annoyed by it; tbh that would be a major fun factor of me driving the car...
When I was 18 I told them to put me in a mental institution, but for that you have to be a ward of the state or pretty damn wealthy. Healthcare in the US of course is a business; we're the only country to have bankruptcies as a result of medical bills and I think it's somewhere around 650k...
Some big brain must have gone around and bought em all up and put em in a bunker deep underground.
There are four on classiccars atm that aren't twisted into a pretzel or cheesily modded and they're 70-75k
Few years they'll be up there with the original 426 Hemi's and the GT500KR's
Oh well...
Eh he's got money. I sincerely hope there's nobody on Turo dumb enough to rent out a stick-shift knowing full well kids are either going to learn on them and/or beat the holy piss out of them the entire time.
If you're using a high quality full synthetic like Mobil 1 you could literally drain the oil out, drive to the store, leave it running while you run in for your oil change supplies, and drive it back home without any damage. I wouldn't recommend it but there are plenty of stories of kiddos...
Off-topic and it's 1.5 hour drive but do you have an opinion on the Bradenton area? I was considering moving over there for the races since WPB closed down Moroso. I've also heard it's the most liberal city in the entire state :( TIA preesh.
I won't be there so if you plan on beating me with a sack or oranges or rolling me up in a carpet and tossing me over a bridge due to my annoying posts...yup.
Just passing it on; not driving an hour each way for it.

If it's the F-150 Coyote with the proper firing order it's fine. Otherwise yes I'm dropping my campaign to spread awareness of Hurst shifters being available for the MT-82 now that I've realized MGW is the superior choice, and in place I am beginning a "just say no to Coyote swaps" crusade.
Yeah I'm thinking in terms of what x dollars will buy, i.e. if you allotted yourself say $50k you should be able to track down a good-condition Termi but how much 64.5-70 will that buy you? Not much more than a restored run of the mill V8.
Slight problem; the '70 has no air conditioning and I'm in FL. It looks like you can buy a complete a/c kit for a classic tho.
When I was 22 my first Mustang - a 90 GT - didn't have working air but I considered myself too hardcore to use it as it pulled power. At 49 there's no chance; I'll...
My father has a vw-audi shop and they were way ahead of the curve regarding the swapover to FI. All my early-mid 80's cars already had it whereas the domestic changeover was around '85.
Born in '76 so don't know anything about carburetion. These seem to be the pros and cons of the '70:
Pros:
A real Mustang unlike anything 71-up (a fat pig, a Pinto, a Fairmont, pretty close retro, and two Camaros)
How much could possibly go wrong outside of a tune-up and a carb rebuild or...
So last Sunday I was driving home after my usual trip to the outdoor mall for a Cinnabon and an eyeful, and I saw an absolute mint s197 Bullitt. Real cherry. Of course WPB Sunday afternoon traffic was being its usual self but after some maneuvering I finally got up to him, dropped down to...
With a 7.5 qt C5 at our dealer you had two choices: leave a half-quart low or take a half-quart dino. Sorry the service director was ignorant of the specs. It's not getting even; it's saving myself from getting pulled into the office by someone who doesn't know what he's talking about. The path...
Yup I change my mind every day.
Some days I want a PP/DH for the Coyote and the warranty, but after the warranty-friendly mods are done it's just waiting around to change the oil. Although my s197 will always need something and I'm keeping it.
Some days I want a gen-1 for the original Mustang...
I think there is exactly one PP six-speed in the state that isn't in transit or equipped with unbearably ugly wheels, and it's a convertible. I rented a 911 vert for a couple of days and it had its moments. Fill in any blanks I might have missed:
Pros:
Some women seem to enjoy being driven...
