My GT made in June 24 is also problem free. Really nice paint finish and good panel gaps / alignment.
Carnauba wax spray / buffing after washing and will still look like new in 6 years like my S550 did.
I turn off Lane Assist so no 'hands on the wheel' warning. I did get the driver alert warning on a motorway trip, so turned that off, but it seemed to need quite a time before it started triggering, then wouldn't shut up!
Nice to hear you have your car now - better change that profile pic etc...
Almost. It is correct to ignore an uninformed unsubstantiated opinion, because it is valueless. The opinions worth listening to are those based on facts and evidence. If you are going to express an opinion and not be ignored, it is always better to be able to substantiate it.
Actually I don't think you have any problem with authority at all!
Let me explain!
As this is a car forum I will stick to this. In the US you drive on the right and stop at red lights (ignoring your right turn shenanigans). These are the rules of the road enforced by authorities such as the...
Yes correct. They can be annoying, but the evidence for their use and benefits are clear. As I said before, by all means turn the systems off, but don't pretend you are doing it for any reason other than you don't like it.
An uninformed opinion is valueless to everybody other than the person who holds it.
You could have the opinion the world is flat. It clearly isn't backed up by evidence. An opinion that the world is flat is uninformed and valueless to everybody else.
The trouble is in the old days the...
The issue with the old 19" AA spare wheel is actually the spokes near the centre of the wheel rather than near the edge. The inner end of the spokes are deeper and foul the inner part of the brake calliper. A 25mm spacer should be plenty to use the wheel on an S650.
For those of you that have your cars now check your tyre pressures!
The recommended pressure is 32psi all around cold. The S550 was the same but I always used to run a bit more at the front end which improved the steering response. When my car was delivered it was 37psi all around (they were...
Not sure how it can be a distraction? If it is then you are very easily distracted!
There is little data on how many drivers turn off S/S each journey, but it seems to upset some of you in the US far more than elsewhere. Anonymised connected vehicle data will record this, so I suspect car...
I wasn't specifically meaning you, although all of us are guilty of bullsh*t at times, we just need the bullsh*t filter available!
Not sure why your car turns off in the garage - that is NOT normal stop start behaviour as it shouldn't work until the car has reached a certain temperature and the...
I completely agree with that, but it doesn't make it logical! I personally dislike Lane Assist and always turn it off, but then as a technology it isn't really very good yet. I have driven some cars with stop start that were very poorly done (quite a few years ago) but my experience with Ford...
Not wishing to jump in before Keith in particular but there is a whole thread on this in the Australian section. We get our model year split into as many as 4 parts so yes 2024.5 is a thing here.
As regards spec, UK/EU cars are a completely unique spec that doesn't reflect anything you have in...
Component lifing seems to have passed you by. Starters, batteries etc on stop start cars are DESIGNED for the role where the engineers know that the use will be higher, more frequent and need to be quicker etc.
The trouble with 'basic knowledge' is that it is basic and means that the detailed...
It deactivates one cylinder using a rocker under steady state low load. I've driven quite a few and you can sometimes just about notice it but mostly imperceptible. It was introduced in 2016 so in use for quite some time.
