Ford have made engines at the Windsor plant for 70 years (about 5 miles from 'Dearborn') Has worked fine until very recently. Will work fine again in the future. You can't just box up an engine plant and move it on a whim

It isn't rotation if it is side to side! Absolutely no point swapping side to side. In the UK you might swap your fronts side to side as we have loads of roundabouts which wear the front left tyre faster than the front right but even that really isn't worth it as the difference is very small.
