I think there's a few things to dissect here...
1. The logistics of moving 7000+ cars is not easy. As someone who deals with contractors every day, I've come to accept the fact that there isn't just dudes standing around hoping I pick up the phone to call and give them work for tomorrow. Its...
Hey to each their own but at that point I would say drop NP and get the car sooner! Getting new rims is a breeze. Though selling old ones would probably take some time...
Do you have a wrap colour in mind? I was so hoping the orange from the S550 would be available but its not...I might have...
Just asking the question as this is what I decided to do:
Why not get the roof, and mirrors wrapped black after? Could also sell your rims and buy black ones if you'd like.
Ordered April 10. GT w/ PP, 401A, and AE. Received VIN in 1 week, Built June 6.
My dealer advised me not to go with NP because there was chance it would delay my order. Plus i'm already paying for rims with the PP. So I'll just get my mirror, roof, and spoiler wrapped.
Just my two cents:
I opted to go without the NP because I was already getting rims with the PP, so it seemed like I was wasting money to ALSO pay for rims on the NP. My dealer also mentioned things like NP can delay your car which turned out to be true.
I'm having my roof, spoiler, and mirrors...
I'm thinking the same. If I have 90 days of no payments, that means I have that much more time to save some more cash and throw it on the loan. Come payment time I have that much more knocked off the principal, further lowering payments and interest
Huh that is really interesting. For one being if only Canadian orders went through that day, how come only 8? look I know we don't have the population of the states but we aren't THAT small, lol. I wonder what the differences could be. Only thing that comes to mind is software based (i.e. metric...
I think it's safe to say no one has gotten theirs yet. Mine is scheduled for delivery this upcoming week. My dealership is only 5 hours away from the plant so i'm really hoping I'll be receiving it quickly. I'll be sure to post if that ends up being the case!
I can't imagine there being any issues. Rims are rims. The mustang isn't unique. You may pay a little more for winter tires that have a lower profile...but that's it.
It can't be just sheer luck can it? I was confused when I got my original build date of 5/24 because I didn't see anyone else scheduled for May. Meanwhile, being in Canada, our order banks opened weeks after the states, so how could mine be schedule ahead of others?
Oddly enough I have nothing. My dealership just sends me photos of what they can see on their system. A little jealous of the others who can see all their updates on some portal I've never seen before
I've been looking around for black rims that I think I would like. I currently have American Racing Barrage Rims in my 2013 Chrysler 300. Lots of people have them on their Mustangs. Love the way they look, but they suck to clean. I might try the American Racing Crossfires...
GT Premium w/ 401a, auto, GTPP, active valve, Vapor Blue.
I originally wanted the Nite Pony Package but it didn't make sense to pay for rims on the GTPP AND the NP, plus the dealer actually told me I would see delays with getting the NP, and based off others posts it looks like he was right...
My dealership specifically advised that I don't get the NPP because it can lead to delays, and suggested I just get a wrap on the roof instead. I took his advise, ordered April 9, received a VIN the following week, car was built last week, and delivery is scheduled for July 10-14
