Yea, i just kinda wanted to do it to do it, since it has not been done before. Having access to an entire donor car makes it just a question of trial and error.
The brembo's are easy, it's all bolt on and then coding the car for brembo's. I paid $1k for the full brembo package.
but thats only if you attempt the dual parking brake setup and drift brake conversion. otherwise the calipers should bolt fine to the regular gt knuckles.
All the modules are the same though correct? Just the harness is different pinning? I'm going to swap the full dash harness, and have the full parts car to source from, so not sure if should be grabbing anything else.
Well I found a guy local parting out a wrecked one with 1,254k miles. Getting the calipers/rotors/pads f and r, rear knuckles, console, drift brake plus electronic park brake calipers, rear abs harness, full dash harness all for $2500 . I think that's everything that would be needed.
This 100%, i know the voice command is there but it is still slower than pushing a button. I'm 40 very into tech, and i think all the touch screen shit is nonsense for a car. Or at least have backup buttons for everything.
I can tell you I have near zero problems with AA and my wifes '21 pacifica limited. Compared to the ford system it turns on connects and works quickly.
I lose audio almost everyday with pandora on wireless AA, and it happens frequently after a google maps prompt.
Who ever thought everything...
IMO get the GT premium, and roll with a few MODS. I paid 11K for everything I did to mine on top of the base GT Prem Price and it out handles a Stock Darkhorse while looking better imo. Plus if you remove your carbon filters in the intakes your at Stock Dark Horse power then.
I was willing to pay the difference bettween what i paid so far and the full kit price. No way i was going to return what i bought to 3 places and pay return shipping and restocking fees of a couple grand just to buy a "full kit"
This makes sense, as now that I recall its always after I have gotten off the freeway at night, is when I notice the auto high/low has quit and won't come back on. Even manually pushing them in and out.
