  1. S650 Mustang vs S550 Mustang side-by-side comparison pics thread

Keep in mind that 'Dated' is a personal perception. Don't confuse dated with better looking, they are not the same thing. To me, using these photos above, I'd rather 'date' the s550.
  2. Styling? Whats happening?

Seems like it is a big deal to you, but not to me. Let's agree to agree  . Marketing-wise, IMO, Ford does know better, that is why they applied those similarities so as to attract Camaro owners (and Mustang) who will be looking at newer cars down the road.
  3. Styling? Whats happening?

I don't think it looks like a Camaro, just that it has some things in common, which, again, is a good thing, IMO.
  4. Styling? Whats happening?

The smooth top half of the side, the side marker lights, the upward slope of the quarter window, no lip on the trunk and the center hood vent. But I have no issues with any of those things ... phew, I am out of breath.
  5. S650 Mustang vs S550 Mustang side-by-side comparison pics thread

I think most people that have a problem, big or small, with the s650 did not necassarily expect 'completely new' or 'radical changes' (I didn't), but just a better looking iteration, which did not happen.
  6. Styling? Whats happening?

It would not ... exactly, however, I like the Gen 6 Camaro and almost got one. The fact that it has many similarities with the Gen 6 Camaro is a plus in my book for the s650.
  7. S650 Mustang vs S550 Mustang side-by-side comparison pics thread

Tearing down the s650 to feel good about the s550 is not the case for the majorty IMO. For me, I will be buying a 'new' car in '25 or '26 and, at this point, it will not be Mustang because the s650 is 'less' developed and unconsidered next to the s550. It just does not appeal to my eyes inside...
  8. S650 Mustang vs S550 Mustang side-by-side comparison pics thread

Maybe, but level-headed is no fun. I like a little 'tilt' every now and then.
  9. S650 Mustang vs S550 Mustang side-by-side comparison pics thread

Sharper, yes, because of all the edges and boxy look. Better looking? Not even close, IMO. Literally night and day. The GT 350 completely blows it away, especially in the front end.
  10. Styling? Whats happening?

I think for the Mustang masses ... that idea may very well be reality. We will see.
  11. Styling? Whats happening?

I think "dated" is a personal viewpoint, not an absolute. Just because something is newer, does not make it better, nor better looking. The sharp lines and boxier shape of the s650 is "dated" to me compared to the s550. Getting the '22 would be my choice, as well.
  12. Styling? Whats happening?

For me, they are in the correct order from top to bottom.
  13. Race Red Ecoboost spotted

    Nice ... and ordinary.
  14. Styling? Whats happening?

Good take and I thought the same thing when I first saw one. The Aston DBs are my favorite cars when it comes to looks, so I like that s550 is "a little too Aston like".
  15. Styling? Whats happening?

I get it, but it's amazing how people see things so differently. The 650 front to me seems 'less' resolved and hastily put together. The sharper part of the 650 front is correct but I prefer more subtle and softer curves like the 550.
  16. Official! All-New 2024 Mustang S650 Dark Horse Delivers 500 HP, GT 486 HP, EcoBoost 315 HP

Time to stand up for 18 plus 6G. Much, much better looking front end than the 7G, which has hardly any personality at all. It reminds me of the 'expressionless' emoji. At least a catfish (even though I don't see it) IS a personality. BTW, some catfish are very venomous and deadly to humans, so...
  17. News and S650 Mustang pictures from Ford Frontline (Dealership Training Brochure)

I think that once you sit in the driver's seat it won't seem crooked to the eye. It will be more 'level'. Then again, I don't care for the entire dash as it is. The whole thing screams 'thrown together'.
