These are things I've been scratching my head over since I had seriously looked at Shelby and Roush offerings when I had my S197 a decade ago. Not one tuner company had a car complete with a Magnum-XL transmission upgrade, at a time when the MT82 was a steaming pile of garbage. Or maybe wet...
I like simple, clean designs...and the integrated ducktail, to me anyway, is just PERFECTION. The hood, as subtle as a difference it is, also makes a huge impact. Add wheels with a proper offset and a lowered suspension and you get a killer stance on the best looking S650, IMHO. The grille is...
You guys see the wingless pics? That rear 3/4...man, I'm REALLY diggin' the look of this thing!
Big downside for me is the fact that DH guts aren't being used. ESPECIALLY the transmission. I have no complaints with the MT82 as a whole, but it's basically a 4 speed (2 overdrive gears) vs the...
Like many others, I'd prefer a V8...but you're not wrong. Seeing what other companies have done with boosted 6's over the years is pretty awesome.
Case in point; I'm REALLY interested to see how well the new Charger will get on with the use of the Hurricane HO. That engine in a full-size...
Respectfully, no. To be clear...you're talking about the non-HP version of the M1...with a rental car interior and narrow 255/275 tires. But hey, I'll play. Compare it to a 1SS 1LE then. Now it's $10k MORE expensive and will also get absolutely WORKED on a track. Come on man...
If you care to know why they stopped production, there are plenty of articles explaining why (for both brands).
As for the ZL1 and M1...in Canada (where I live), they were priced within $2k. Base ZL1 vs Premium M1 with a few options to keep content apples-to-apples. I don't recall USA pricing...
I'm not sure where you're getting your information from, but the Camaro and the Charger/Challenger didn't die from lack of profit...ESPECIALLY the two from Dodge. Those cars were printing CASH.
I also wouldn't correlate "whining" with common sense/constructive criticism; most people WILL NOT...
Forgive me for not wading through 18 pages of this topic and reading every comment, but if no one else has said it...I for one am HAPPY that the sales are this bad. In fact, I hope they get worse.
There is NOTHING more that I LOVE to see than people speaking with their wallets. The reason...
Not sure if anyone posted Brenspeed's video on M7G yet, but they ran a 9.97 @ 141+ with a Roush equipped car. At the end of the day...9 second passes can be done with either setup quite easily.
PATH TO THE 9'S (24 MUSTANG GT ROUSH SUPERCHARGER) SO EASY All Mod Info & Drag Videos at Brenspeed...
I don't care what anyone says...we have it GOOD these days. With a mod list that short and an ET/MPH like that...it always blows my mind just how easy it is to go fast.
Nice work and nice driving man!
Unless I missed an obvious typo, you two fella's have an inch difference between your rear wheel sizes. 305/35/19 VS 305/35/20 is an inch difference in overall height and would make a 0.5" difference in the fender gap.
OP - No offence to you, or anyone who wants an NA build...but if that's your jam, prepare to spend some serious cash on very little gains. Coyote engines LOVE LOVE LOVE BOOST. Absolutely the best gains per $$$ you can get.
Personally, if given the choice, I would always go OEM. If you can afford to wait the extra time, that would be my recommendation. In the past, some (most of them, IIRC) non-OEM replacements wouldn't have the Ford or Pony logo on the windshield (it's been awhile, I can't recall which...

Not sure if you guys checked this one out, but a nicely done video. Lids off, that whine sounds DELISH. Grab some headphones, turn up the volume and listen at 5:40 onwards. YUM!
Hmmm, I'll throw my idea for a replacement for that blank spot.
How about...a mini SPONGE. You know, one that would hold a little bit of water in it so you can dab your finger on it! Now why would you want that? So you can take that moist finger and run it across your eyebrows. Everyone knows...
We, as the consumer, are in a bit of a pickle here aren't we? Do you want a 2 door with a V8 and a manual transmission? Theres only one place to go and get that. :(
The other issue with the price...is what happens when you cross shop?
M240, M2, Supra, Z, Nismo Z, RCF, C8, etc.
And to some...
Oh, I'm with you...nothing beats a same-same test. However, brand-loyalist tribalism knows no bounds and in the realm of Mustang vs Camaro/Everything, it'll never end. Besides, a good chunk of numbers/times thrown around by each "camp" are cherry picked from multiple sources, anyway.
IMHO, as...
