i like the comparo of the various years.... always nice to see the evolution of the cars....
lots of mustang fans do not like the 71-73 or the 74-78 models but i like them....they have their quirks but all in all the tech in those advanced to where we are today....
if im not mistaken the 74-78...
agree on the dash. just cannot get used to it....even if i see in person.
i guess i like the old-school gauges and buttons....
im not one who "likes to push buttons".....unless i have to.
i always like the black accent package no matter what car...i got it on my wife's escape. just looks better IMO. but i did not get that on my 15 since i wanted the PP1 and 50th anniv upgrades too....
the boss was black/orange from the start so no changing that.
we are currently waiting on our...
ok so this might be a really big stretch here, but what if.....
they (ford engineers) designed the dash this way on purpose, so that everyone who is a "hard core" mustang freak would say no way and then not buy the S650 when it comes out....
then of course sales decline, then Ford would have...
i think they did have a target group, just not a MUSTANG target group.
i mean they had to do something right? next generation of drivers.
in the beginning when it first came out i did care how it looked, and still today,
but now i just dont care much as i did then. i probably will never buy...
couple quotes from the video...
"gutsy to step away from our heritage"...
"shift away from the double brow"
"like playing a video game"....
"doesnt take it self to seriously"....(the mustang muscle car)
"their going to look at the driver space and have a smile on their face"....
well i know...
as i have said before, exterior im good with. nice refresh. i just cannot get over the computer screen dash....
at this point you would have to offer huge discount for me to purchase one....and in the right color.
ill keep the ones i have until i find something else i like.
yes i understand...
also in the future they are pushing for "self driving" cars so we wont really need a dash anyway...
maybe it will be the place for all those cup holders we have been wanting...
anybody remember the Jerry cabs from Total Recall (the Arnold version)??
i see that happening...
just like they are...
this might be a stretch, but do you really think the Brass at ford would design a car to sell to the masses based off of a video game? im just asking cause it seems like that is the trend....
im dumb here, so i dont know anything about Forza or GT.... that would seem so....cheesy, or tacky.
IMO
i like it. exciting times to watch all these race events (hopefully) with the mustang.
with production still far away they can tweak some things based off of the feedback they are getting (like the interior) and should be a nice car.
with the way the economy and everything is going im not...
62 & Ace, reference the 94-04 mustangs...same interior (minor changes) but the outside went from round/smooth to angled/edgy some liked, some didnt. i had both, liked both. both had their "unique" features. same here 550 vs 650 (except interior) i think they went edgy just like in 99.
same...
as i have said in other threads....the whole dash looks like an "add-on" to the rest of the interior...
no integration. just put some ipads on a shelf and call it a day. i feel digital is here to stay but pleas make it look pretty. i can do this on the wall of my room in the house, will i make...
wow! they should just take that whole dash and expand to the other side. one big dash screen...
looks like they went backwards in design instead of forward....
one word.
INTEGRATION.
thats all im saying. maybe they can make it "look" like it belongs there, and not an "oh we forgot something" approach. i want to drive the car not play i-racing. digital is going to be the future, ok we get that. just make it look pretty. if i want 2 ipads setting on...
i have been in the maverick and to me yes all the screens but its not as BOLD as what the mustang is....look at the driver console area...its integrated into the dash. that is what i have been saying all along, its not that i dont like digital...that is the way things are going but for our...
