for me its not about the tech per say...i know that is the future. you cannot stop that. what gets me is they put 0% into the design element.... lets just create a shelf and set a huge tv on top and call it a day.... that's the issue with me. seems they put thought into just about every...
Dont need to read article. The fact if no āheritageā inside and āvideo gameā dash turns me off. You drive a car! Not play video games behind the wheel! Come on people! What are our priorities here! You want more distracted drivers?
same? no
similar? yes
i still dont get what the "thing" is with the huge plastic front grill? is it because its easier to mfg and install than a new front end? i call BS when they say its about getting air in when 95% of the front is closed off from air... but its a trend in the car industry...
i put decepticon stickers on my mustangs...you have to look for them. but no i do not like this one.
i guess im old school, give me the tri-bar pony all day and im good. i get the idea behind it but thats it. maybe something else could have worked but when you do a full frontal of a horse...
i would have to remove the new "emblems" from mine if i ever get one....something about them doesnt scream mustang to me. i get they want to create something different but just cant get behind them.
no real opinion here. i like the overall look, either way. 67-68's were concave like these except not "chiseled" and 69-70's changed slightly from both those years to give same/similar effect, so i think it goes with the new design fine.
user ACE posted some picts in another thread of some car companies and their "tech" integrated in the dashes, and i think they look way better than what ford came up with. i told him i think my 6yr old could have done a better job. "lets build a shelf and put 2 tablets on it" i think that is...
ace,
glad you put those picts in of the dash. i know and most of us know that tech is here to stay, i think that point is understood, but what we (at least i) have been talking about on this forum and others is that the design element of the interior of the mustang is nowhere to be found. i...
thanks bikeman for your age/date info.
im a Gen X groupie i guess (50) and looks like the Millenials is not the group i was bashing...
that would be Gen Z. we all fall somewhere.
i was one of those who had kids later in life (43, 46) but only because i wasnt married until i was 41 so my kids...
why? Because they dont care. Millennials dont care either. Mentioned (again) in stangmodeās vid they targeted Millennials for their study. F the rest of usā¦
people⦠if you havent figured out if the phone in kids hands cannot do what they want they donāt do it. They dont care.
I didnt see anything mentioned but in Stangmodeās video the gent mentioned the red that was in the vert was NOT rapid red. Had a different name but cant remember without watching vid againā¦.edit. Found it. Carmine Red.
so similar to hot pepper red
point is...its doable....without the Ipad looking thing sticking up....
ford just doesnt want to invest and spend time doing stuff like this.
i DO like how they did the exterior. although i dont know if i would call it a new Gen....
rather a refresh... think 94-98 compared to 99-04. refresh...
i wrote about this over on M6G how i did not like it. yes understand we are going into the "digital" age but they can do so much with LCD screens now that you dont need the "box" config....just look what they did with the current mustang. i dont see what the need is for MFG's to think we need...
i agree with GoodWood,
the dash is TERRIBLE!. i like the rest of the car except for that. i dont know if i could live with this car if i have to look at that all day driving. they could integrate the screens in as they did the last gen cars to make it look like a REAL dash...
ONLY way i would...
ill chime in as i did over at M6g, the renders look good based on your past experience and being spot on....and with that what you do is amazing! but the fact that ford is doing what its doing to the front and the whole car shows the lack of thought from the design dept. nothing screams...
my bad...
in my mind hybrid = electric.
totally forgot there is still both in hybrids...
so i kinda agree with you in some areas. i think there are positives and negatives to both cases.
who knows...one day we might have flying cars! it happened in back to the future! lol
trip #1 - regular mustang v8, you want to go from DC to san fran, couple thousand miles....we stop for gas when we run out and roll on....stopping to eat and to sleep. no biggie....
trip #2 - mustang hybrid (electric), same trip as #1, have to stop every 300 miles to "charge" up (if i can find...
