Also I saw one of the The Smoking Tires youtube videos last night reviewing the 230i RWD and they liked it a lot also, if you do not have to have the 6 cylinder and its like $10K less. can make it look the same as the 240i just different engine, they said it handled better since it was lighter...
Yeah after researching I would say go with the premium GT, the premium interior is really nice, also has cooled seats which the BMW does not come with. The GT also sounds lots better from what I can tell watching the M2, 240i youtube videos. If you get the GT can make it look even better by...
One thing I learned watching a video on the M2 was that there is no oil dipstick, you check it on the screen, and the oil filter is hidden behind the engine, would not be easy to service, have to take it to dealership. they say checking the oil that way is more accurate than a dipstick...
So with those 15mm spacers did you have to use longer wheel studs or keep the originals? they didn't really show that part on the Throtl video. Will check out those wheels on the BMW build page. Maybe someday when it is time to trade again I will consider one, I do like my GT but like you say I...
Good looking car! so is it lowered with spacers? what size spacers? I watched the Throtl youtube video on the M2 and they lowered that one and used a spacer. you like those wheels better over the black wheel option?
Thanks for the info everyone! Yeah I watched a few more youtube videos on the M2 last night, everyone seems to like it, lots of videos on it also. One thing that surprised me was no ventilated seats, it should come with that at that price. My 400A has it and I do not think I would want a car...
Yeah I saw the M2 has lots more hp than than the M240i after more research, I think the M2 is around 10k more expensive than the M240i also, probably worth it. & yeah would probably not want to keep a BMW when the warranty is up if repair costs are higher.
Just curious if anyone here has driven or owned one of the 2 Series BMW's with the straight 6, M2 or M240i ?
Watched a Raiti's rides youtube video last night on his M2 review and he liked it and compared it to the Dark Horse, about the same price and he did say the Dark Horse tremec was better...
Did some more research, and looks like motorsport tech is probably the highest quality, and also read that getting their steel spacers would be even stronger than the aluminum ones. is 25mm the smallest spacer that will fit without trimming wheel studs? as it looks like motorsport tech can make...
What brand do you all think is the best? It is probably between Motorsport Tech, Eibach or H&R, if I ever did decide to try them out. cost of them does not matter, did not look like any of the spacers cost a whole lot, want the best quality for best safety and durability.
Yeah I was thinking the same thing last winter when I was considering spacers for the winter wheels, will have to think it over more, have plenty of time. I do have splash guards on so that helps some.
I have a set of 19x9 PP1 wheels that I run for winter season with winter tires, I ran them this last winter without spacers and I now have RTR 19x9.5 Tech 5 wheels on for summer and like the way the improved offset looks with wheels being more flush with fenders.
So doing some research on...
Yeah regular dark horse without handling package appears close to GT with performance pack and magneride , same size tires, etc. for a daily driver the GT is just fine. we may get some news on any changes made for 2026 models this summer, not far off. thanks again.
Yeah true, always planning ahead on next trade move though. Yeah also true Ford will probably have a new trim out maybe for 2026, or change up something in the near future. thanks.
Have been thinking over what trim level to go with next time I trade in the future. Currently have a 25 GT Premium 400A and like it a lot. Was considering maybe going Dark Horse next time but after research I think I like the GT Premium seats more since they are full leather or leather type...
Thanks for all the information, yeah hard to say what Ford has planned, my guess is 2027 a refresh probably, might see a new trim level 2026. Just checked the sales numbers and Ford sold 4,186 Mustangs for March 2025, at least an improvement over the past 6 months in the 2 thousands per month...
Anybody have any insight into what model year we will see a refresh? google says 26 or 27, sounds about right probably. we should start to see some 26 news this summer, curious if they change anything. or could get a new trim level maybe.
yeah I like most everything the Dark Horse offers and it is more rare compared to GT's and has an unique look. the only thing I wish they included cooled seats standard on the dark horse like they are on the GT premium. at that price Ford should make that standard as well as the aluminum foot...
I thought they could have hit the brakes harder and taken the turn faster than they did in the dark horse, did not see much tire sliding on the turn, especially with the handling package. the second driver was better also, made it close to the end. can not believe how much that dodge weighs...
