The C8 Corvette starts at $70K. This makes it more competitive for a DH, but the C8 is still a superior platform in almost every way for around the same price. Better than nothing tho.
The Dark Horse is just not a desirable vehicle. It has literally no historical heritage like a GT350 or Mach 1, and some people value the heritage.
And for the same amount ($70K-$80K), getting a C8 is a superior option for a non-biased buyer. Unless they want a MT6, but yours is a 10R80 (the C8...
Are you calling Jim Farley a “car guy”? 🤣 Here is a car quote from this “car guy”.
See what’s wrong there? Jim Farley a “car guy”. 🤣🤣🤣
The S650 only has the Dark Horse line. The S550 had Ford Performance Shelbys, Bullitt, PP Mustangs, Mach 1, and an unrestricted support from the aftermarket.
Moving from a S197 Gen 1 Coyote and a solid rear-axle to the S550 is a sizable leap. And moving from an S550 Gen 2 Coyote to a Gen 3 Coyote is also a sizable step.
The Gen 3 and Gen 4 are basically the same motors. The Gen 4 just comes with dual TBs for the Gen Zers to go along with the Remote...
Is the Mustang Team even trying anymore? Why does this look like a black S550 Mach 1 theme? The only saving grace to this is the 5.2L Predator motor. And what’s the price? It better not be over $110K.
Amazing job, GM. A true American supercar, proudly displaying the 🇺🇸 decals!
And this is how you tank a company. Ignore the competition.
It worked out well for Blockbuster Video and BlackBerry Mobile.
Of course. It’s Jim Farley’s Ford, and it’s probably going to weight 4,500 lbs and cost $150K. 🤣
Notice it says “Most advanced Dark Horse ever…”, it doesn’t say Mustang.
Are you willing to buy a GT500 replacement or want to build your own? That’s the question.
And every Mustang variant under Jim Farley has been overpriced and underwhelming. So unless they drop a 5.2L motor or better in an S650, this new variant will just be another supercharged Coyote Mustang...
GM really did create a legend with the C8 ZR1. The best part…all in-house and all American. And that’s why they proudly displayed the USA flag decals on the ZR1s.
Meanwhile, Ford outsourced the GTD project to the Canadian Multimatic. And Ford dares to charge almost double the price for inferior...
