I am using the factory Motorcraft TPMS modules (F2GZ-1A189-G) on my new wheels. Yep, I went all-in and paid about $52 each. You can get third-party compatible ones for about half that but I didn't want to do that this time. The factory TPMS are compact and light weight compared to most...
I am getting conflicting information about the adjustability of caster. In some cases I see that it can be adjusted and in others not so much. Can caster (not camber) be adjusted on the Dark Horse w/o the HP?
First, I am not wrong on the interior, I own one. Second, Ford's order builder has not always been accurate. There seems to be some misleading information on their site. The seating details concurs with what I already mentioned, in that your get Deep Indigo seats with the AP...
That said...
Well, the Deep Indigo is an option that only comes with the DH AP. So, there is a choice, don't get the AP. There are several options for stripes and some not that expensive. If you are planning to PPF your car, then it's a wash, because you can do it then too.
I think you are trivializing...
Perhaps for the causal driver. For experienced enthusiasts the jury is still out.
Launch harder is a driver variable. More gears does not imply used gears. Faster shifts is debatable. Pretty much everyone that has tracked the car would/does prefer the M6 because the A10 does not shift...
Stock for stock I'm not totally convinced that the A10 is always faster. I have yet to see someone that really knows how to shift the M6 found in the DH.
Pretty much every review that I have seen shows bad launches and NO no-lift shifts. Yes, I have seen postings from more traditional...
The aftermarket does better with leather and it's real. PPF takes care of stripes. There are a few more interior choices with the GT but not really worth the compromises over the improved performance of the DH. As for the $10K, the GT wouldn't have that advantage either if (once again) the DH...
I disagree. The only incentive to get the GT are the incentives. If the Dark Horse was so privileged with incentives, EVERYONE would get one if they could.
The delta was even smaller for me. Comparing an equivalently (as close as I could) optioned GT (with GT incentives at the time) to the DH, it was about an $8K premium for the latter. Worth every penny just for the Tremec alone.
The transmission is EVERYTHING to me. I was eyeing the '19...
Bummer. I am considering replacing my stock splitter with the handling pack version. Unfortunately, the price is a little steep. The track splitter from FI looked like a promising alternative. It's looking like I will have to pony up. (Pun intended. :) )
I have some questions about one of their front splitters, but I have gotten nowhere with it. You can't call them, they don't list a number and the number you do find with Goggle is never answered. When you try to message them, they never email you back. How can they be sold out of anything...
When installing a new set of lowering springs, does it have to be on all four corners? Can you install lowering springs on just the front or just the rear and keep the stock springs for the other?
Perhaps that is your disconnect? Tuning. You need to bide your time. The S650 will be tunable (I speculate in about a year or so) and once that happens the ram air effect of those dual air intakes will make it an n/a monster. Then everyone is going to clamoring for one, mark my words on...
Can you elaborate?
Since owning my S197, nothing has impressed me enough to make the jump to something newer until now. Yes, bringing back the 5.0 in 2011 was impressive as was reintroducing IRS in 2015 but they just weren't enough. Now I couldn't be happier. Yes, I do miss the double brow...
On my '09 Bullitt I had 235/50 Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S's and it tramlined like a mother. Switched to 235/50 Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4's and tramlining is gone. On the other hand, the 275/55 Michelin Defender 2 on my '19 F-150 never tramlined. Interestingly enough, neither do the...
