UPDATE:
So, I called Ford's Customer Relationship Center yesterday on the off chance they would have a status update on my order and low and behold they did, my VIN and schedule date. On the website order tracker, I confirmed the schedule date I was told (02/26/2024). I asked the agent if...
I suspect most EB and GT buyers didn't pay a market adjustment.
Before I could place an order for a DH, I had my name listed with several dealers within my local area to let me know when something came up. When they would let me know, I asked about a DMA and most if not all of them had one...
My dealer does not add any market adjustments to MSRP prices. However, they are particular about whom they sell to. I am curious for dealers that have markups did you actually have to pay it (or any part of it)?
I donāt think so. Those ālittle thingsā will knaw at you if you let them. I say keep looking until you find the one that is perfect to you. However, keep in mind that none of them will be perfect so you may have to compromise somewhere. This advice comes from someone as anal retentive as it...
I checked with Ford about this very subject a few months ago and they said the Recaroās are not wired for retro fitting the standard seats. You can still swap but will loose out on all the features.
@Logan WOW, I can't believe my eyes. You are doing the EXACT same thing I have planned for my DH... Remove the hood stripes and body color the eye black. I thought I was the only one on the planet going to do that. We do lose some of the DHness though, which is fine by me because we gain a...
You got that right. In fact, if the GT had the Tremec I would have been persuaded to go that route just because of the personalizations. I wish Ford was more flexible with these types of features across trim levels.
A fully optioned GT comes within spitting distance of a DH. The price gap at that point becomes more worth while for the extra performance tweaks and aesthetics you get with it.
I hear you. I figure Iāll have to do all the contacting as well. I donāt really mind that too much as I have been doing that already (since August) about being able to place an order. I donāt mind waiting either I just wanted to be in the system. I wasnāt expecting to get in until sometime...
Like you I did an exhaustive search on this topic and you are absolutely correct. Also like you I prefer the non AP colors for the seats BUT I do like the blue trim you get on the doors with the AP package.
I called Ford and found out that they stopped sending emails out when the UAW strike took place. Emails are supposed to resume in the coming year. So, if you place an order now don't expect any emails on it until then. Although I won't get the initial "Welcome" email I am supposed to get...
Perhaps, I didn't think to ask. But they did want to confirm with me that I gave them the correct email address which they said they used when placing my order.
As I mentioned in another thread, I got word from my dealer yesterday, that I could put in my order for a Dark Horse. When I asked about getting a welcome letter (email) and the eventual build tracker information I was told that Ford doesn't do that with "specialty vehicle orders". The dealer...
This all makes sense to me now why when I got the call from my dealer (yesterday) that I could put in my order ONLY if I did not want the HP, which I didn't. Seems to me GrabberBlueFan is right about builds with the HP being held up.
I am really curious to learn if the no lift shift gives the manual an edge. I haven't really seen much documented on that. And nobody mentions doing that in their testing either. In a few reviews yes, but not under test.
