Ford isn't going to stop making a v8. They saw all the blowback that Dodge received and Dodge had to reverse their decision. There will certainly be new models and drivetrain options for sure. But v8 will be there.
I don't know anything about NASCAR, but I did a quick search and it says that a car body can be run up to three years after the model year. Is that true?
They actually look at profits and competition. If you don't think the number one selling sports car sees that Dodge is bringing back the v8, you're crazy.
Why on earth do you think the number one selling sports car can't survive, but the 20 below it can.
Its the same platform/chassis since 2013.
Its the highest selling sports car and it's not really close. It'll be okay, and if it's not, then no other sports car is okay lol
Its the highest selling sports car, so if any sports car can afford to fund a new chassis/platform, it's the mustang. 👍🏻 It doesn't have to sell like an F150 to be profitable. Also, if not for the mustang, Ford won't be able to compete in all the racing events that they do, which is also good...
I know the order of years 😂 The 2024 mustang was revealed in 2022. The 2015 mustang was revealed in 2013.
If the next gen Mustang is going to be a 2028 model, that means if norms are followed, a reveal would be 2026, which is next year.
That's soon! If the next gen Mustang is MY28, they better get to work since the new generations are usually revealed a year before the model year is released, which would put the reveal next year 🤔 I think the next gen will be a year or two later.
Ford released their sales numbers for June and the s650 Mustang is up 8.6% (4,242) over it's first June.
As a comparison, the Corvette's June sales are in the gutter at 1,808.
