Ditto on this as I too have a 6.0 GTO and noticed the same when I bought the Mustang and started driving it. The GTO has plenty of low end torque compared to the Mustang, but on the top end the Mustang really goes. One is low end grunt, the other is top end screamer.
Funny as my Dad is 83 and said he'd stop changing his own oil after his last filter was gone...then he bought 3 more filters!! LOL I help him doing brakes, plugs, etc. and he helps me with the same, plus we both still wrench on my 65 GTO.
Got this same update today. Saw earlier checking in the car that it was "downloading" status, and just looked at the app and it now shows as updated with a green checkmark denoting it's a a new event.
One and the same! Your handle was easy to connect when I first saw one of your posts here mentioning a GTO as I recalled seeing you on the GTO forum. Small world, and we both have excellent taste in vehicles... 😜
In CA, technically it is a mod as you are removing the factory installed line from the PCV to the intake. They don't want you to touch anything. Back in the 80s had a 76 model car subject to emissions testing that I ran an open element air cleaner on. Every 2 years I had to swap on the stock...
Nice "blunder from down under" as our latest forum buddy stated on another thread. Obviously he never drove one as I find most people with negative views of the GTO haven't. Usually, any one who has driven one really likes them. I think the new age goats are just now finally getting the...
You may be OK leaving it on. I added a catch can to my 05 GTO in 2007 and have gone through 8 smog tests using 3 or 4 different places and passed every time without a word about the can. Now the CARB approved JBA shorty headers with an EO # is another story... LOL
That has always been the...
It's hard to predict what will or won't be more collectable or valuable in he future. To call the anniversary models "duds" is a bit harsh as after all it is a V8 powered Mustang, and that's plenty of fun. The interior is the upgraded interior, so it's not bare bones, but other than a...
Saw a snippet that April 17, 1964 was the official debut of the Ford Mustang at the New York Worlds Fair. Happy birthday, Mustang!
