Just gave it a little gas to pass someone on the highway. Only doing 55-60. Nothing ridiculous. Seemed like a transmission hiccup on the downshift. 10A car.
Not a big deal. It was fine after a restart. If it happens again I'll take it in. I'm only a couple miles from the dealership.
Happened on the highway. Powertrain malfunction. Put me in limp mode but it cleared as soon as I parked. Should I take it in to get looked at? Seems fine now. I've been beating on it a little bit and no more issues.
I always thought they were expensive and underpowered. Same 200hp engine as any other little shitbox. I'd buy a used C7 vette if I wanted a pure track car.
It does seem to linger in higher gears at low speeds. Easy enough to flick the paddle down a few notches if it's uncomfortable. I like how the exhaust bubbles on downshifts anyway before I make a turn. You don't even have to use the gear selector manual mode. You can hit the paddles any...
I don't know if it was mentioned before, if you leave the temp on LO and use auto the fan stays on high.
If you set the temp up one notch to 60 instead of LO the fan speed will decrease when the car cools off.
You're not taking a woman to the Florida Keys for 2 weeks in that thimble sized frunk.
Can you even fit one standard sized suitcase in there? Let alone 2 plus 2 carry ons? Souvenirs? Yeah that's not a car made for road trips.
To me the difference was do you want to go fast or go fast and carry luggage?
I like taking road trips. With the C8 you're going to have to strap suitcases to the roof and look like the Beverly Hillbilly.
If you get special financing rate like 1.9 or 2.9 or whatever you're an idiot not to take it.
Even if you dont want to invest your 40-50k mustang money in the stock market for 7+% annual return you could stick it in a safe money market account and get 4-5% annual returns letting other people...
Track mode exhaust, normal drive mode, unless I'm just cruising on the highway. I love the aggressive pops every time it downshifts coming to a stop. I don't like the hyper aggressive transmission shift points of sport or track mode though.
There's mustang shows, Ford shows, non specific car shows. Track days, dunkin donuts meet ups. Late night street take overs. You can't throw a rock without hitting some kind of car show.
