I'm surprised this hasn't been mentioned on this thread yet...
If you put the seatbelt on before hitting the start button, you will NOT hear the chime.
If you start the car before putting on the seatbelt, you WILL hear the chime.
However, I know in some countries the car will not even start...
I couldn't image having to drive with all that gear on! Really cool to see some interior pictures, I always liked the seemingly endless accessories for Crown Victoria police cruisers, I wonder if there will ever be any accessories made for Police Mustangs that civilians could eventually buy.
I have noticed that the lock inside the glovebox door handle rattles sometimes. I've grown to ignore it. The doors rattle more than anything for me, but I'm too afraid to pull the door panel off and inadvertently cause more issues. Also not going to let the dealership hold onto my car for 4 days...
... and then back to the Carplay/AA screen, because I still want to see my maps while listening to FM radio. Even after pressing the home button, you still have to select the left side box for music, THEN press source, then FM (so realistically, a total of 6 taps and waiting for the screen to...
All I want is a simpler way to switch from FM radio and Spotify/CarPlay without having to navigate 15 screens in between... Otherwise I have been extremely happy with my car.
I see no real problem. Certainly not a safety issue. Back when these cars were solid axle, many owners would take out the rubber seat entirely, just to lower the car a tiny bit.
ONLY a clean microfiber cloth. No scratches so far... I've always had the mindset that: interior "cleaners" are just adding to the problem... Less is more.
I have noticed in my car, it's the lock wiggling around in the glove box handle. Place your finger over the lock it will stop rattling.... Just not safe to drive like that.
I'm no expert but I have helped a friend multiple times trying to get the quad exhaust tips straight on both sides. It seems while one side is being tightened the other side shakes loose, so we had to have all hands holding it in place on both sides while tightening...
My question is: Could...
Hello, sorry to revive this old thread but I spent all morning going over the numbers and wanted to post this so hopefully it makes it easier for the next person..
I have a base model ecoboost WITHOUT brembos. But I DO have the upgraded 19x8.5" wheels.
It seems the s550 spare would fit just...
Velveeta/Kraft macaroni color. Ew ..
I'm not even sure I'd call that Orange, more like a nasty yellow...
Yellow Splash was AWESOME. Sad to see it gone.
Lime Yellow looks like dead grass or stomach bile.
No wonder most people buy white, black, or grey cars.
I actually drove from Central Texas to Central Tennessee like 2 weeks ago.... 2 days before we left, I got a nail in the tire, thankfully it only went through the tread and there was no leak. Just in case, I borrowed a full-size spare wheel & tire from a friend. I never had to use the spare...
I had a rattle coming from the glove box. I guess the hanging weight pulling on the glove box door was causing it to rattle somehow. For now, I have a folded napkin wedged in the crease and it has stopped the rattling.
I was also considering a Camry before my Ecoboost purchase. I really just wanted something NEW and with a warranty. I looked at the Camry first, but realized I had to buy their top-of-the-line trim level to have a push button start... There was absolutely no way I would be paying new car money...
