  1. The new dashboard is a big mistake IMO

Yeah, everyone on the Internet imagines that if their voices are louder and more vitriolic than everyone else's that will impress the market researchers who watch social media. In fact, the more unequivocal and over-the-top, the less interest anyone has in the comments; rants are outliers...
  2. Poll- Do you like the new interior?

No, "the demograohic" is not. A few people on a car forum are.
  3. Saw S650 Mustang Commercial Advertising on TV today

Good ad. Lots of references to "legacy" and "heritage." That'll pull a few triggers.
  4. The new dashboard is a big mistake IMO

So... Hanging around on the web and peeing on other people's trees is a plan, isn't it? Well, isn't it?
  5. The new dashboard is a big mistake IMO

Yeah, you're absolutely right. I should have said that digital will predominate in mass-production automobiles. Very high-end luxury vehicles and some supercars will feature elaborately designed and detailed analog gauges, I'm sure, Just Because. The expense of manufacture and assembly was...
  6. Poll- Do you like the new interior?

I know, I know. We suffer from a hopelessly hopeful condition of mind...But, the season's young. We're not yet mathematically eliminated from the playoffs!
  7. The new dashboard is a big mistake IMO

Back at the turn of the century, I was working but flat broke, and I needed a car. I leased the cheapest new car you could get at the time, and bought it outright a year or two later as my situation slowly improved. That cheap car was everything I could have asked. I put three hundred thousand...
  8. Poll- Do you like the new interior?

Yep. All fandoms are ultimately alike. There are Trekkies who want William Shatner back, and football fans who went to Internet arms when Washington changed their name (yeah, there are still Washington fans).
  9. The new dashboard is a big mistake IMO

Repeating yourself doesn't change the fact that you're mistaken. We'll see what we'll see.
  10. For those upset with the new design… at least it doesn't look like new BMW M2

I think it's got about 65,000 miles on it.
  11. The new dashboard is a big mistake IMO

Of course not. That wasn't the point. Outrage on the web over some change or another != failure, either. And the point is, the outrage and negativity about this car is not even particularly widespread on the web.
  12. The new dashboard is a big mistake IMO

It's not clear that a lot of folks here know who Ford's target group is. The level and intensity of angst about the design on this board is wildly out of sync with the level of skepticism about it on the rest of the web. The most that can fairly be said about the overall reaction to it is...
  13. The new dashboard is a big mistake IMO

Those are fair objections. It took me a while to get used to some of the odd reflections on my 2020 digital display, in low light. I thought some odd artifacts were built into the screen that are actually just reflections of the housing.
  14. The new dashboard is a big mistake IMO

Not so. That's as silly as saying that those who are insistent that this design somehow doesn't respect the "classic integrity & pedigree" are just pretending that all the previous Mustangs that didn't employ the exact same three or four design tropes were somehow "not real Mustangs." That's...
  15. The new dashboard is a big mistake IMO

    Whatever. It looks pretty good.
  16. For those upset with the new design… at least it doesn't look like new BMW M2

SO has a 1998 M3 convertible. Arctic Silver. It's boxy as hell and gorgeous.
  17. The new dashboard is a big mistake IMO

Looks a lot like the new Mustang.
  18. The new dashboard is a big mistake IMO

    Pretty much, yeah.
  19. So whats the general thoughts on 7gen Dud or Stud!!!

I'll say that the front end of the new car is a great improvement over the 550 - pre-or-post '18 refresh.
