Now, I'm glad I went the route that I did.
Sure; it doesn't have a 5.2 or a DCT. I'm content rowing gears on the street instead of chasing digits on the track. Not to mention, with that extra 50-75K CAD left over I've got plenty of money for expensive ladies and illicit substances.
What Smurf said.
I think many of us have had high power vehicles (bikes, cars, whatever) "since we were teenagers" but every car, much like women, is very different than anything you may have ridden before. They handle differently, they accelerate differently, they slip side to side...
I haven't used the ADS but that OG Tire Dressing is pretty killer; use it myself. Love the smell. Sadly, Matt's buy in to carry that product was a little bit insane so I passed.
CarPro PERL is a pretty good secondary.
I feel your pain! Mine has been on the tender since the 2nd week of November. I just started her last week for the first time since she went into storage. I've been dying to get out and do some driving content for my personal vlog but all I have available is the 2013 Mazda 6 winter beater...
Yeah CarPro RESET is the best recommendation you ever gave and you've given some good ones. I tested a few other products but for my specific wash routine it was the best! I've washed a Ferrari and a Porsche GT3 with it in addition to my own Dark Horse.
"It was so good I bought the business"...
Comfort was fine. I mean it's not a C class Mercedes but an 800hp muscle/sports car.
With the 20s I had no issues at all with most clearance. Remember; lowering the car 1/2" (springs) but raising the car (1" larger rims) sort of makes it stock ride height. I sold those 20' rims about a year ago...
No I did not. I'm back on 19" for now (LMR rims with PS4S tires) but may go back to 20s. I haven't had a single issue with either tire size.
For cruise control just know your rim size and adjust accordingly.
I like that front end. Not a fan of the chin splitter, for driving around the city that is, but the front fascia is pretty cool. Wonder if that will become an aftermarket thing.
Looking forward to seeing it lowered! I think 315 is plenty wide enough... those VF10s I had, with my HP DH lowered, had like maybe a finger (at a 45 degree entry angle to the wheel well) between rim and tire. Will be interesting to see what a 325 does on a lowered DH.
I second the Steeda H Pipe.
As a fellow DH owner it changed the experience of driving the car. Add a blower on it and get ready to get sideeye from eye cop in the city.
I run a YouTube channel where I do silent vlogging of my life and any time I have posted clips of my DH driving people have...
Same.
I already have a supercharged Dark Horse, plus other mods, so the "Dark Horse SC" doesn't really flip my skirt. Also don't want an automatic no matter how good the DCT is. My boosted S550 was automatic and it got old quite quickly.
I like the 20" rims and tires and may go back to that...
I wonder if Ford saw all of us Dark Horse owners adding boost and thought "We'd like to get MORE of that money up front so let's do a factory Whipple and call it the Dark Horse SC".
This way they take money away from the Dealerships and it goes to Ford Corporate as they bolt on the SC at the...
It was scrubbed a week before launch (for me). It was a combination of the below...
- I had a family member pass away and had to handle much of the estate stuff on behalf of my father. I could have done that remotely however the below reason also came into play.
- The ongoing tensions between...
I found more details on what I spoke about above...
2024-2025 Ford Mustang Supercharger Kits Recalled Over Unintended Acceleration
So looks like this is a two part thing; FORD recall and WHIPPLE calibration adjustment.
Looks like Spring time will be for both of them.
