Today I will start prepping my Kooks headers for Cerakote high heat ceramic coating. I’m going to be using easily available and affordable stuff I bought from amazon to do the job and I will give my honest feedback on the process. I will update the thread with pictures after each stage. To start...
Thank you Benny!! My only question is can I also get the panel underneath that has the ducts that tie into the valance. Tried looking for them and couldn’t find them.
I just sent him a message asking what kind of lead times he is seeing on shipments. Hopefully I get the car before October and can get a couple months of driving it before the rain comes.
It’s a 6 speed 401a with red Brembos and black interior, NPP, PP, MR, AE. I also have a set of Kooks green H.O. Catted LTH for it that I’m about to Cerakote today. An MGW X-Spec shifter, BMR springs, Steeda stop the hop kit and some caster camber plates. Still need to order the UPR catch cans...
Very similar! And we’re both in California. Our cars are definitely being built at the same time, that’s awesome. I’m about 7 hours north from you. Good looking car!

I have actually been looking into this as well. I was quoted nearly $2000 for the Jet Hot (shipping included) and about $900 for Cerakote done locally. After doing some research, I decided to do the Cerakote myself and then wrap the headers with a nice header wrap. This will keep temperatures...
Personally I would do the whole stop the hop kit from Steeda, drive shaft and half shafts. Worth while insurance and safety. Plenty of videos of fast mustangs with stock suspension reacting poorly lol.
When did you first put in your order? I just put an order in last week and the dealership told me that I was looking at 3 to 4 months for a GT Premium 401a with all the performance goodies. I'm wondering if I should just accept that it will be much longer so I don't get my hopes up.
