I averaged 26 MPG driving from Denver to Leadville and back. I drove with the cruise control on the whole way except one canyon where I went a little hard. That is extremely fuel efficient if you ask me. Denver is 5280 ft. Eisenhower tunnel is 11,000 ft. Leadville is 10,000 ft.

Have you tried loosening the clamp? They are tightened slightly to keep them from moving around during shipping. I loosen them quite a bit before installing to make sure they aren't interfering. The polyurethane is much stiffer than the OEM foam to make sure they last a long time. You can also...
