I do want to defend Steeda a bit here after bringing a product to market. It costs a lot more than I thought it would.
It is reinforced silicone and which does cost a lot more than rubber. Price isn’t that far off from two silicone intakes. There are two of them and they are specific to the...
That is great to hear! I know dyno values have to be taken with a grain of salt since so much goes into the numbers and there is always some error run to run but using nanofibers does allow for very uniform material and allows for a thinner filter which reduces pressure loss while maintaining OE...
I averaged 26 MPG driving from Denver to Leadville and back. I drove with the cruise control on the whole way except one canyon where I went a little hard. That is extremely fuel efficient if you ask me.
Denver is 5280 ft. Eisenhower tunnel is 11,000 ft. Leadville is 10,000 ft.
I love the carbon fiber look. This is the direction that I want to go but definitely looking for lower cost since I expect it to get hit a bit and take a beating on track. I doubt I will do enough tracking to justify an actual splitter.
Hey, we still have filters left from the first batch ready to ship.
For those who have ordered already, I greatly appreciate any reviews you can leave on the site (I will have reviews open this weekend on the site) or here. Please give me any feedback as well. Being a very small operation, I...
I think it’s important to make the distinction between handling and feel. Like discussed, the dark horse and the s650 mustang in general handles very well compared to most cars. The lack of feedback is a different issue.
Without feeling the tires/road, you kind of have to trust that the car will...
These will definitely save you money on maintenance cost. Can always keep a backup set of OEMs for when these are drying after being washed so you do not have any down time.
Hello Everyone,
We still have filters available for immediate shipping at the discounted price.
For those who have already bought a set, I would love to get some more feedback and reviews.
Thank you!
I took a Kia Optima (rental car) through the dragon some years ago during a Nator meet. I had so much fun with that slow, body rolling, fwd car. I can't imagine in the mustang.
How are the tires after 6 runs?
I want a square setup for daily driving but was considering staggered for autocross/HDPE. I have only ever had a square setup until this car. I am still in the research phase.
It’ll depend on a few variables. If you live in a humid area it will take longer. You can put them in front of a fan to speed it up. In Colorado, they take around a day.
I usually have 2 filters I alternate between to be safe (can use the oem while these dry).
I just went out and installed 2 in my car. I have been running prototypes previously.
They are tight but will go on. I spun them a little while rocking them by the polyurethane mounting end. Please do not try pushing them on by the end of the filter as this can crush them.
Make sure to get each...
Have you tried loosening the clamp? They are tightened slightly to keep them from moving around during shipping. I loosen them quite a bit before installing to make sure they aren't interfering.
The polyurethane is much stiffer than the OEM foam to make sure they last a long time. You can also...
Have you tried disconnecting the valves (unplugging them) and doing a cold start to see what the difference is? I’d be interested in a comparison video of the two cold starts. Might get more people working on fixing this.
I do not have a set interval. The media manufacturer said no more than 10k miles but I would check every 1k miles until you get a feel for it. I have not cleaned the prototypes in my car and they have almost 3k miles on them. I live in Colorado. These will need to be cleaned more often than the...
