The garage parked Shelby will hold the most value. But I can tell you after parking my car next to gorgeous green Mach 1 here recently at a mustang event, actual Ford guys in real life love both cars. Neither are perceived as a GT with leather seats.
You are correct, any manual car of same weight is going to need a substantial HP increase to beat an A10 equipped car consistently. Thats why people who go to the drag strip to compete buy A10s.
Yeah, you bring boost into the mix and its no longer equal. Ford and Whipple have cracked the code. And that's a 13.5K all in dealer upgrade. Hellcats and ZL1s require a 30 to 40K premium over their NA versions.
And the Dark Horse HP has been clocked at 114 by Motortrend and 115 by car and driver with track tires that require it to be between 65 and 72 degrees to hook up (Somewhat joking and somewhat not).
Its a drivers race with any manual Scat, Camera or Mustang. The Scats and Cameros where 50K Cars...
The A10 is a half second advantage if not more. Nothing about the Dark Horse package changes that.
Neither dodge nor the Camero were able to do any better with a six speed without boosting.
The only mistake Ford made was adding the A10 option to either the Mach 1 or DH. The only versions of these higher end cars that didn't and haven't sold are the Autos.
Two gents at work have the B&O F-150s. One a 2021 another is a 2023. For reasons I can't explain the mustang is better. Its probably all due to the fact that the mustang is filling half the space with the same amp and speakers.
The speakers are matched to the amplifier and it's all tuned to sound the way it does.... which isnt terrible. You can swap the speakers out for better efficiency, but its more than likely not going to sound a LOT better (Just louder). Amplifier and signal are 2/3rds of the equation.
The...
Sound is so subjective. I'm not bothered enough with the sound of this car to spend money, pop panels, and dig into the dash. I drive with the windows down....so I'm only looking for volume. The B&O does enough there.
In Oklahoma where we have a couple of months of 100+ days the 2017 Pzeros would basically just melt. One of the biggest improvements they made in 2018 was going to Michelin.
The dissenting opinion is I should not have bought the car.....becuase of the tire. LOL. We've already established its a (Fast) wear item, so that really didn't play a huge role in any decision making. Does not change my stance that its an over spec'd tire for the car.
I'm not sure if the...
I opted for the wing, wheels and splitter.
Even the non-hp comes with a garbage Perrelli that may last 7K instead of 4.5K miles. Possibly my biggest bitch is that Ford moved away from Michelin...which is just a better all the way down the line. There's a thread on FB about this same subject...
This car has three feet of digital screens, a 30lb stereo system, mountains of unnecessary sound deadening, cruse control, lane keep assists (which requires three cameras), heated steering wheel, a back seat as well several other creature comfort accessories. As much as we love it it's a...
Yeah, I get that. My point is this tire is ridiculous for this car. Even the new z06 in its highest option gets PS4s. That's the tire most of DH handling pack owners will live with. I'd bet there is an extremely low percentage of owners out there that replace tires with the factory OEM. I...
I'm going to get about 4000 miles out of the rears with zero burnouts performed.
I understand why ford put these tires on this car but damn. Got to believe Cup 2s hold up better than these things.
I did my research and knew going in, still sucks. Any car that has a 60K warranty should not...
Im having a hard time spending 2K to save a few rock chips on a 5K paint job.
Not saying it's a wrong move. I'm just having a hard time. That's damn near a Cat Back Exhaust.
