That's good to know!
Day four or five after picking up the EcoBoost, I commuted through a mahoosive thunderstorm in the dark and I wasn't used to how the Mustang drove or felt in a lot of standing water (Texas' surface drainage doesn't even try to cope with very heavy rain). Big difference in...
Ahh, Race Red, not Racing Red. Thank you. I like how this color isn't so, um, pretentious if you will I mean, I get it, colors aren't plain descriptive any more. But why not? Rather than Vapor Blue Metallic, why not "Head Gasket Failure Blue Smoke" and maybe rather than "Shadow Black" it could...
Sort of. I am glad I didn't have the choice, because whilst I miss driving a manual, I also commute in the Mustang and there's a certain charm in putting the transmission into "D" and loping along. I'm under no illusions that the ten-speed is as engaging as the manual (it isn't) but it's a...
I can think of a few... some of these are tongue-in-cheek
it's a better radar reflector than a modern car shape
it's useful for toll road cameras
it protects the front from touch parking against tow balls
Cutting to the chase... yes sir, it does seem pointless to have a mahoosive big metal...
The're a little less powerful in the UK, ~448hp, which I had wondered if this was because of noise regulations but it appears to be because of emissions regulations. The opposite has been true with diesel engines (this might change in the coming months) where US regulations were tighter than...
In the UK? Yes they did. The earliest one I remember was a 170hp 2.0 model, naturally aspirated, then Ford moved to turbocharged engines. As I remember - and I'm a little vague on the precise details - there were a few different versions, and I believe some had the smooth Volvo five cylinder...
I hear you.
I was close to buying a EcoBoost back in 2021 but decided to go for a more sensible alternative and picked up one of the last Fusions made as an ex-customer use car. It was the right car for me at the time. I would have enjoyed the S550, and four years later with four more years of...
Thank you! The licence plate is on so it doesn't look so clean now, but Texas requires a front plate and I could really do without being pulled over with my British accent!
Greetings everyone! Just bought my first Mustang, my first new car, and my sixth Ford counting both the UK and US models. It's a black base EcoBoost with the Nite Pony Package. I'm the kinda guy who has buyers remorse buying lunch and despite wanting a Mustang for a long time, still deliberated...
I'm not usually the biggest fan of silver (or for that matter, black, the color I have heh) but that, sir, looks fantastic with the stripes and wheels.
I've not long picked up an EcoBoost and it's something I'm curious to watch. I live in the DFW area where it's routinely that warm, but on my commute I don't expect to see anything untoward. My last EcoBoost Ford (absolutely wasn't a high performance model) but had remarkably stable intake...
I believe you have to reset them independently; I haven't tried yet as I haven't had the car long but if you reset them close to the same time you should see the same results.
Right?!
Oh that's really good to know - thank you. I'm optimistic that having respect and fear for slippery roads with something rear wheel drive and not being intimidated by opposite lock will be fun, I mean, work out well. Thank you!
It probably doesn't but I haven't driven this generation Mustang on cold, wet roads to know how it is. We get those four days a year when it's cold and wet enough to justify them and Texas is still functional... would likely be a December to end of February thing. On the other hand, if I used...
For now, I'm very much in the "leave it alone and enjoy it" - it's my first Mustang, my daily driver, and I don't think I'll truly appreciate and understand it until I've owned, driven, and maintained it for a couple of years. Plus as many have said, when you start modifying, it can be hard to...
