  1. Used road side assistance yesterday.

Thanks for sharing. Glad you were "stranded" at home, and not on the road. I haven't had a battery die on me in almost 20 yrs. I replace them every 5 yrs. I don't carry jumper cables either. I have a good charger, jumper at the house, but it's always used to help my neighbors. Fingers...
  2. All Season Tire Recommendations?

Been running in Conti DWS06+ for almost a decade (Subaru). When I replace the PZ4s it'll either be Conti or Michelin. They are the best for a UHPAS street tire. Cost to value ratio, performance, speed rating, noise, tread wear, etc. where I live.
  3. How can I properly achieve a 2" drop (Street build)

Greetings, As a fellow Californian I couldn't imagine being any lower for a street car. We have horrible roads. I personally wouldn't be able to deal with the clearance headaches. Every steep driveway, every curb, every parking lot speed bump, etc. Potholes too. If you're looking to fill...
  4. Bay area dealer specializing in Mustangs

@8Bullitt7 , Your negative experience with Putnam is one of many apparently. Glad you got your issue identified. Hopefully CarMax approves the repair for you. I got really lucky with Serramonte. Car with the options I wanted and first color choice fell into my lap. They do have a large lot.
  5. Bay area dealer specializing in Mustangs

@8Bullitt7 , Did you ever find a dealer? I just purchased my car at Serramonte Ford. They are in Colma, maybe closer to you than Fremont. I don't have any experience with their service department yet, but they're giving me a free oil change in a few months so I'm going to give them a try...
  6. Peninsula Mustangs - Bay Area Car Club

Today I attended a cars and coffee event hosted by Peninsula Mustangs. This is on the peninsula (San Mateo County) at Bridge Point shopping center (Foster City) off highway 92. It's a monthly event, usually the first Sunday of each month. There was easily 70 cars on display. Mostly Mustangs...
  7. Jeep Wrangler Flips Mustang

Horrible. I'll bet the jeep driver was using / on their phone. Distracted driving at its finest.
  8. Alarm System Issue

I believe the perimeter alarm includes integration with the in cabin sensors. I'd contact the dealer where you purchased the car.
  9. Alarm System Issue

Does your car have the 401A option?
  10. Front window dash cover?

Watching. I may want one too. đź‘€
  11. Alarm System Issue

I have a DH with 700A. Pretty sure I have the ability to change the default prompt / behavior of the Interior sensors under vehicle options. I'll check mine later on today but you should have a look at yours there. The only time you would select no is if you were leaving somebody in your car...
  12. Using Forscan and being intimidated by it

The overwrite on the server side makes sense. This way Ford isn't overwriting your changes when a new update is released. Both pro and con.
  13. Using Forscan and being intimidated by it

So the download is a file named [My VIN Number].ab and I save it to the IDS directory: c:\Program Files\Ford Motor Company\Calibration Files when I install ForScan? Do I need the module addresses below as well?
  14. Using Forscan and being intimidated by it

I amended the URL and deleted "Details".... then it worked. :sunglasses: https://www.motorcraftservice.com/asbuilt
  15. Using Forscan and being intimidated by it

    Maybe it's because I haven't bought a subscription yet?
  16. Using Forscan and being intimidated by it

Hmmm, Putting my IT hat on. Not working on PC either. Same when logged in too.
  17. Using Forscan and being intimidated by it

Subscribed and reading this thread. 🤣 Gone are my cobb access port days and Subarus... Now Forscan and Mustang. The "asbuilt" link didn't load on my phone. Is that still working?
  18. Normal A10 Transmission Temperatures?

For questions like these, I would say contact Ford. I'm sure they have endless data available. Of course the first person you speak with isn't going to have a clue but they can escalate. You'll eventually get to a tier 3 tech.
  19. Touch up paint for wheels

@martin, While you're looking for paint, you should also look for local wheel repair in your area. Over the years I've used many shops and a lot of them come and go. What you have there, a good shop will be able to repair and repaint without taking the tire off the wheel. Try calling a few...
  20. Orange Wire Housing Hanging Down Under 2025 GT

Quick update. I took a swing at this yesterday. I used my ramps and backed the rear wheels up on them. Then slid jack stands in (safety first).at two points I saw in another post. Unfortunately this didn't give me enough clearance. This was my first time under the car. I did get to check...
