I hear you on Shelby. I owned two GT500's, a 2008, and a 2010. I knew I was buying a car engineered by Ford and named after a legend. The cars just had street appeal and an exciting name to most. I have no problem retiring Shelby. I do have an issue with the Dark Horse name. What happened to SVT...
Wow!! I could spend big dollars on this car and then have someone ask me at a car cruise if this is a Special Edition ECO BOOST S650. There was no doubt that a Shelby was a Shelby and didn't look like a base GT package or added bling from American Muscle.
One man's trash is another man's...
Honestly, you are wasting your money in two ways. First 700 hp is just a bragging right. In most cases the investment will not put a $10K smile on your face only a hole in your wallet. Secondly, after you put this enhancement on the car you have killed your resale value. I wouldn't buy the car...
Not only FORD but all the car makers with the help of the government have made cars more complicated. Therefore, there are many more items that need attention or are just waiting to go bad. I have a good friend who bought a new MACH 1 a couple of years ago. It has a bit over 1000 miles on it...
My 2020 had the MT82, no problems, shifted as well as the TREMEC in my 2010 GT500.
My 2024 GT has the A-10 Auto, great transmission.
Give me a Dark Highland Green with a few Bullitt emblems and I would be happy!
Agree! You can't have a yearly BULLITT.
However, there's still a following of the BULLITT on Facebook and IMBOC, International Bullitt Owners Club. I'm sure those people would like to see a new BULLITT. They dropped the California Special that had very little historical significance, replace...
The MACH 1 was maybe the best Mustang produced for the dollar. Ford made a mistake going with the Dark Horse name IMHO.
I still would like to see a Bullitt with a TREMEC and an optional track package.
Yes, a Dark Highland Green Car would be great. I get a bit tired of Black, White, Gray, More Gray, and Red.
There will never be another Steve McQueen. I'm fearful that the next movie will be some foolish AI waste.
I still would like another BULLITT.
Back when a Bullitt Mustang was a GT with a 390 four-speed less the Mustang badges. That's the car I want with Bullitt wheels. I'm sure it would sell better than the last California Special with the blue trim and the new FX Adriaic Blue/Green with the pretty white wheels and plaid seats!
I miss my BULLITTS! I wish Ford would paint an S650 in Dark Highland Green with the BULLITT emblem on the rear and no running pony in the grill. The car has enough power etc. In a book written by Matt Stone with forward by Chad McQueen, they say that another BULLITT Movie will be out in 2026...
I bought my 2024 GT to replace my 2008 Shelby GT500. Prior to that I had a 2010 Shelby GT 500 and four BULLITTS from 2001 thru 2020.
My GT suits me because at my age, I can actually get in and out of the car. I just can't do a C-8 Corvette, or I would have one. The Corvette is a better buy...
Tell me about your spoiler. Where did you get it? Did it come pre-painted? Did you do your own installation? Is it aftermarket?
I have a black GT with the blade spoiler and may want to add the GT type spoiler.
Thanks for any info...
LOL! I hear Ford will be including a six pack of Ivory Soap with each new Mustang. This is for the bath you will take on an early sale or trade-in.
My car, a 24 GT Premium with 1300 miles and an MSRP of a bit over $56K has a CARMAX BUY PRICE OF $39k as of less than a week ago.
