Agreed, particularly from a track/HPDE perspective. 10-20 second pulls don't place the same type of stress on a vehicle compared to a 20-40 min session driving the car at 9/10ths or 10/10ths. It's been my experience that the overall cost of a M2 (versus M240i) and M3 (versus M340i) will be...
I think the problem with the DH is that a DH with the HP and Recaro seats has an MSRP of ~$72,000 and there's less supply of it than the G87 M2 that has an MSRP of $65,000 and more supply. Then you have the C8 Z51 that MSRPs slightly below $80,000 but the plentiful supply means that you'll...
I believe the G87 M2 gets a 25hp bump for 2025MY and it should be getting an LCI refresh for 2026MY.
Rumors are that BMW will offer it in an xDrive configuration.
I've heard that it's not hard to find an allocation for an M2 these days. I expect that situation to continue to improve over the...
I think it's largely due to the track focused tires. I think the G87 M2 is likely to be faster given the same category of tires.
This is huge. I'm tired of turning wrenches these days. I just want a car that is properly set up from the factory with adjustable front camber so I only have to...
I think Dark Horse pricing is going to feel some pressure soon. There is a decent amount of C8 inventory now...

I think the discounts will continue to increase in size.
Production of competing cars such as the C8 Corvette and BMW M2 continue to increase where supply is definitely meeting demand. MSRP seems to be the upper end of what people should be paying today for those other cars.
This is the problem. By the time Ford gets their act together and starts producing DHs with the Handling package, C8s would have already dropped in price to the point where they may not be that much of a price difference between a lower trim C8 Z51 and DH w/ Handling Package.
+1.
The MSRP difference between a DH w/ HP isn't that much different from a lower trim C8 Z51.
I would also cross shop the DH w/ HP with a G80 M3 xDrive Competition.
The problem that I anticipate for Ford is that by the DH is available with the HP, there will be enough inventory of the C8 Z51...
It's interesting the Dark Horse with Handling package is able to only achieve a maximum of ~ -2.0 of front camber.
I would think for MacPherson struts may want to achieve up to -3.5 degrees of front camber depending on the track.
Sometimes when you adjust camber via camber plates/strut mounts, it makes substantial changes in the toe settings as well (for BMW F chassis cars). Is this the case with the S550/S650 platform as well?
