Agreed.
Most buyers that would have probably bought a $70k DH are probably putting off the purchase because it's obviously not a necessity. An F150 or Expedition (Max) are more functional purchases and those have become much more expensive as well. A track toy is secondary to vehicles that...
The other issue is that some dealers are starting to discount the C8 Corvette. The S650 is a great car, but for the same money, I'm probably going to end up buying the C8 Z51 instead.
How does the oil sump work on the Dark Horse? At what sustained lateral G force is it able to maintain oil pressure (indefinitely)?
I ask because I know BMW states that the wet sump oil system with 2 pickup tubes can sustain normal oil pressure indefinitely at 1.3g.

Apex Wheels has a fitment guide as well.
Honestly, I think the factory staggered setup is a waste.
I would run 285/35/19 all seasons for the winter to get around.
I would also have...
I'm not sure about that. The track/handling package Dark Horse has some "cheater" tires. I'm going to wait for more feedback from people who track their cars.
Regardless, the catastrophic failure replacement costs for the Dark Horse will be substantially lower than a BMW and that may just be...
My thought process would be, "If this Mustang isn't my primary means of transportation on a daily basis, I'm just going to put this purchase off 1 year and get a 2025 DH."
I think the C8 Z51 is not that far away in price when you're talking about the MSRP of a Dark Horse with the Handling Package. I think the is a weakness in the DH pricing - it's just too close to price to a mid engine RWD platform.
If the actual market selling price drops in 2025 or 2026, I...
+1. If you're going to primarily use this car at the track, chances are the MagneRide shocks won't be tuned properly for the increased spring rates of a track suspension.
I think they're both pretty cool.
I think the C8 Z51 is going to be the faster car at the track, however, the DH will have lower running costs which is an important factor for those who track often.
I think by 2025, we'll see near invoice pricing on the DH. The problem I see that the DH faces is that the supply for C8 Corvettes (non Z06) is improving to the point where we'll probably see below MSRP deals on those.
And realistically, the price difference isn't that great. Someone who is...
