Just had mine in today for an oil change and to do the inspect and leak test.
The service guy I spoke to after I got the paperwork said there was no leak found and I felt good about that.
I don't know what percentage pass without going through the process of adding sealant and let it cure, but...
Thanks for the replies. When I asked the second dealer write up guy what the process was it was clear he had no idea, he replied "we'll check it out".
I really just want to talk to a service mgr. at a dealership that is familiar with the recall and knows what to do.
I'd like to get this resolved one way or the other, but given the numerous reports of dealers having problems getting the job done properly--and since the car is kept in a garage--I've deferred it for the time being.
I since I had issues with my selling dealer on an oil change, I called...
Before we picked up our '25' GT this spring , we had a '16' EB for nearly 10 years and drove it all year long in NEOH.
The first thing we did was get a spare set of 18" rims and put Blizzak WS80 tires on them and used them Dec-March during the winters that followed. No traction issues at all...
Oil change prices have gone up since you sold your car.. I paid close to $700 for the oil change and the usual inspection on a 981.
Likely my last at a Porsche dealer.
We had Blizzaks on our '16' EB S550 on stock 18" rims and they worked fine in winter, especially on icy roads..
The good news is that these rims and tires will work on our '25' GT with no issues clearing the brake calipers. Thank God for that--another set of rims and tires would have cost a...
Finally got the car in front of the service writer to resolve the low oil level.
I told him it looks like I'm down a full quart of oil and has the car taken into the service area and looked by the tech that did the oil change.
15 minutes later the service writer said it was actually down a 1/2...
I plan on going in to the dealership Monday and find out what is going on.
The bring your own oil approach will be something we talk about...I do that now with our Porsche so if that dealership is ok with it, so should Ford .
With 1400 miles on it, I decided to have the dealer do the first oil change and check that my old S550 18" GT rims would fit over the new GT (base) calipers (they did).
When I got the car it had 400 miles on it since it had to be driven back from MD since my dealer had to do a trade to get the...
I went through this process when buying our GT in May,
Here's the Ford site I used:

Drop in the model and thn add the particulars and hit the...
Had the PS A/S 4 tires on a '16' EB for 4 years, currently have them on a Porsche 981BS with about 4k on them.
The good:
Excellent steering response, lots of grip in wet/dry and cold conditions. A firm ride which seemed to get firmer with age.
Noise was minimal for the first 10K, but become...
From the research on both products that I've found, there are satisfied customers using both products.
The price is about the same, but both use different designs to do the same thing--the FP includes a cowl reinforcement piece where Steeda does not.
Would appreciate comments on how these...
Before we bought the S650, we cross shopped this car and drove one with the sports suspension and bigger brakes.
Pro:
Eager acceleration, nice manual gear box, great brakes. Styling was OK
Con:
This is a small car--reminded us of our old 1991 Miata. suspension was so taunt you had a constant...
Related to this topic--looking at the DWS06 vs. the Mich A/S 4 as replacements for OE tires.
If I have gripe with the '25' GT base the suspension is too soft and has too much body roll.
I knew it would be soft when I bought the car, but as the miles have added up it has become more noticeable...
NE Ohio, preferably west or south side of Cleveland area.
My selling dealer was not impressive on the sale side and I have had them work on another car with results that weren't great. Ganley?, Autonation? Montrose?
Thanks for any help in advance.
Had Mich.A/S4 on our '16' EB and have them now on a '13' Porsche Boxster S.
The good:
Firm side wall providing excellent steering response, great dry and wet traction, decent snow traction.
The bad: more noise than expected and got worse with miles.
I'd like to replace the Conti grand touring...
In our third week of ownership with just under 900.miles.
We love the car ...one question :
After driving it in both sport and normal modes, sport mode seems to have less power coming off the line making a bit more difficult to launch from a stop. Was expecting to have a more responsive throttle...
"Alignment is likely out of whack from the factory (most are)... alignment specs are in the manual. An alignment is covered under warranty within 12 months of purchase. "
I did find the specs--thanks.Regarding the alignment covered under warranty--is that anywhere in writing that can be used as...
As I get a few more miles on the car--more questions:
Oil pressure readout:
when fully warmed up (oil temp @220) I get 20psi at idle and about 60 at 2000 rpm--about right? Seems high relative to others cars we have. Oil level still slightly below the half way between full/min after 300 miles...
After a lot of cleaning--no wash from the dealer after the 400 mile road trip---it finally looks great:
The engine delivers easy power, clutch and gear box are both light and easy to use, comfortable seats, the stock exhaust sounds amazing and QC on the paint and assembly look very good.
