Ford is not the only one eliminating physical buttons. My 2018 Volvo has all touch screen for climate control and most other functions. There are a few physical dashboard buttons for the radio volume and to pause/skip tracks, but I almost never use them since I tend to use the steering wheel...
I tend to agree that they know that dedicated Mustang fans will likely keep buying into the franchise, but they have to be careful not to completely alienate that fan base either as that could cause a backlash that negatively taints the brand (like the Probe fiasco).
I agree. This is the "look" that designers are now going for. I suspect that Tesla adopted this look to really drive home the point that they were something new and different and to strongly emphasize that they were "technology" driven. Now everyone is copying that same look so they can announce...
Ahhh ... That's the beauty of the internet ... you can find someone to scratch whatever itch you have wherever you have it and no matter how gross it is 🤣
Until recently, Mustangs have always been "redressed" versions of other higher volume Ford chassis. The original Mustang was a "redressed" Falcon, and the original Fox body Mustangs were "redressed" Fairmonts. You are right that you would pay a premium for the unique styling, but I think most of...

My college roommate had one (a '75 I think). It had the 2.8 V6 with headers and a custom dual exhaust. It would be considered a total POS by modern standards, but wasn't half bad for it's day.
My wife's Mazda has a couple of knobs on the center console, one spins through settings, and the other lets you adjust values (like radio volume). With those two knobs and a few physical buttons, you can easily control just about everything. We took her car on a long road trip last year and it...

Well actually this a thread about M2 styling (comparing its perceived miscues to any perceived S650 miscues). The only hating that has been going on is 1) most of agreeing that BMW styling has gone wrong and 2) someone dissing the M2 as a "bottom of the barrel" car and implying that it is...
