Lots of automakers run their own tests in the Ring, not only german ones. However, Sport Auto(german magazine) uses it for benchmarking all supercars.
Check what other cars are below the GTD.
What's not relevant about this?
I'm amazed how people critizes Ford. They must suffer short time memory.
Ford revolutionized the car handling with the s550.
Managed to put the car in the same league as an M4 with the DarkHorse(I've owned both and much prefer the DH).
Further pushed the mustang boundaries to compete with top...
Its the first american car to run a sub 7mins lap and has potential to do even better.
Who cares the Porsche costs less. Are you also attempting a sub7 min lap and working on a budget? Only a handful of people on earth has managed it.
If I had the money(and access) I would probably love to own...
Yes, 285 fits in a 11" wheel. Its slightly stretched, which is actually good for handling. Narrower tires are also better for winter.
Wheel rim will be a little exposed, so be careful with those nasty curbs 😉
Replaced the Trofeo RS with tires more street friendly. Went with Conti ecs2 285/35 f 295/35 r.
The increased profile gives a little more ground clearance and the slightly stretched fit keeps the turn in response sharp. Wheel well also fills a little better and doesnt poke as much in the front...
Picked up this beauty this week.
Cookie cutter spec with tremec, recaros, 700A, handling package and blue ember.
Coming from a "base" manual M3.
Previously owned a 19 GT with the A10 and missed the V8 rumble.
In my case the manual Dark Horse is overall a much better package than a manual M. Ms...
I paid the same amount for my new loaded DH as a 2 years used "base" M3. Now that I owned both I honestly dont think the price is unfair for the car you get.
However, when you take a bmw to get serviced you find marble floors, leather couches and get offered beer and wine(or an uber)while...
Pretty modded...just a bit 😅
Both the M2 and DH are amazing sports cars and of the very few that are still offered with a manual.
I got quickly tired of the M3 mainly because the carbon bucket seats are not meant for a daily driver but also because it just didnt make me happy as the mustang...
They have a scheduled maintenance for each model. Some things are pretty ridiculous like oil change every 10,000 miles. I couldnt wait that long and did one every 5k paying for the extra one out of my pocket. Dealer charged me $300 per oil change. Indy shop $200. Mercedes also recommends...
Didnt sound bad at low rpms(just a little bassy). At higher revs the s58 gets very raspy. Single large midpipe helps it. However, you always feel like trying to fix something that cant be fixed.
Inline six cilinder sound good when na(a v12 is basically 2 inline 6 together), decent with single...
Yeah, the sound was a real downer. Especially for a previous mustang owner. And the more you open it up the worse it gets. Its a great all round machine but seriously lacking in the sound department. I couldnt justify spending more money on exhaust.
