It would be interesting to get a full explanation of why the peaks and valleys are the way they are in the Sport mode chart. Could some of it be to avoid breaking noise ordinances?
Thanks (I think) for the picture of the smudges. Now I'll probably see them all the time after ignoring them for 15 months. 😀
Does look useful, though. Interesting to read the comments on design variations.
I checked my records, and I only drove 3800 miles in the last 12 months.
Service report: Battery tested good. (Not sure if in checking diagnostic codes any thorough check was made for excessive draw.) Report states u3003 in multiple modules, which would relate to the low battery charge status...
I have it in the back of my mind that it could still be the battery. However, It's driven less than 5000 miles a year, sometimes only once a week. Never a problem starting, just battery saving, shedding loads, so I think I'll try it longer than three days with the maintainer to see if it's OK now.
Over the last month I had trouble with pending software update to fix false check engine light. Even after driving so battery was high enough to operate greeting light show and wifi connection, update would fail. Got the car into the Ford shop Monday and they determined the charge was below 80%...
I'm sure louder exhaust makes it feel sportier, but I wouldn't trust that it actually is. Vacuum cleaners are designed to be noisy because people perceive that as being more powerful.
The Start/Stop has never been triggered in my 2024 GT. Not sure if it could be because of the climate here (but there are cool days in the winter that require heat, not A/C) or a missed recall to erase a "bug" in the programming that stops it from working. Anyway, after reading all the...
Thanks for the video links.
So, there's a high level of break-in contaminants in the first thousand miles. What is the evidence that this is a problem for engine life if the oil is not changed until, say, 3000 miles?
For what it's worth, here's what I've done with every Ford product I've owned, none of which ever consumed oil or had any engine trouble:
First thousand miles (or owner's manual break-in period) follow manual suggestions, which usually say to drive a variety of speeds (which I take to mean a...
I have allways been a leave it alone type. Biggest mod I ever did was adding a moonroof (to a Lincoln Mark VIII? can't recall now. I think it wasn't offered as factory because it compromised roll-over strength).
Current '24 GT premium has only inconsequential add-ons the dealer did before it...
Amen. I'm 81, and I'm appalled that even though I've had no accidents for decades, the state of Arizona renewed my license by mail with no examination. I would gladly take an exam along with everyone in my age bracket.
As expected, Ford service said there was no point in looking for a problem that fixed itself. They did confirm that SYNC system reset is a reasonable thing to try if something happens again.
