I didn't actually take delivery, I purchased an M2 instead but have been debating trading it for a Dark Horse.
I should have done a search for a Dark Horse to begin with but I was led to believe none were out there since dealers couldn't get allocations to order one; when I ordered this the...
Emboldening mine:
Be careful when you do that; you've just described the recipe for snap throttle oversteer, when people feel the rear end get a little loose and let off the gas, causing weight transfer to the front, guaranteeing the rear end will lighten and slide.
You are correct on both counts, but I have still been tracking my build, which is now at the dealer (if anyone is interested, let me know.)
As an aside, a Ford Dealer near me is getting an Adriatic Blue Dark Horse optioned the way I would order one, but it has the bronze wheels.
If it was over $10,000 they will be getting a visit from law enforcement and/or the IRS.
They aren't joking around with the need to fill out that form, and people have been arrested for "structuring" even when they weren't trying to avoid the limit.
$10K or over in cash must be reported on IRS form 8300.

It's funny, I suspect the "champagne" comments in the ad were aimed at F1, but that can also go for IndyCar at most any race - certainly all the street races have lots of four and five figure high-end hospitality suites along the courses.
Where's the "CGI images, do not attempt" disclaimer?
NASCAR transmissions haven't been true manuals since 2022; instead they're a sequential five speed transaxle.
I don't "keep adding goodies" - that's the exact GT I ordered and did not take delivery of and the exact Dark Horse I would order if I got a DH but can't because no one in my region has an allocation and dealers don't know when or if they will get one.
I'm not trying to convince anyone of...
I was comparing a GT Premium to a Dark Horse Premium.
DH Premium starts at $69,075 and includes most of the options I needed to add to my GT Premium order, so again the MSRP was only $2265 different.
If you can get a discount on your DH, great - here no one in the region even has a DH...
What are you talking about? Most of the expensive GT options - MagneRide, Active Exhaust, B&O Stereo, Anti-Theft Package, and most of the 701A options - are standard on the DH, as is effectively the GT Performance Package.
You'll definitely be able to get more off MSRP on a GT, but you'll never...
This is the 2026 GT Premium I ordered and decided to not take delivery of:
GT Premium MT $51,080
Adriatic Blue Metallic $395
GT Premium Package 701A $2900
GT Performance Package $5660
Nite Pony $1960
Anti-Theft Package $700
MagneRide Suspension $1750
Active...
That's just it; having felt the Tremec I'd never enjoy the MT82 knowing it was only a few thousand dollars' difference; I'd spend at least that much on short shift kits to try to bring tne MT82 closer to the Tremec throws.
Really? How do you get a Tremec in a GT?
How do you save $20K when MSRP for a GT configured like what comes standard on a DH is just a few thousand dollars less?
My local dealer has a GT on their lot where the front part of the trim behind the driver side front wheel that runs under the door was loose previously, and it looks like in the past three weeks ago it's been somehow torn off even more.
Before there was just one fastener on the bottom that...
I've never seen more than $2000 off on a 2026 DH; they're quite rare and cannot be easily ordered if you want one before the 2027 model year.
If you're willing to take delivery of one sitting on a dealer lot, availability is a little bit better.
