Chinese do chinese.. :)
PS: I don't think the red led is supposed to light up... it will only bleep when the battery is low or when there's comm issues with the transponder. On that point.. are you sure you didn't used a wasted battery on the (previous) "not working" one? :D
Considering the strict rules we have on this side of the world (EU & Co. ...although UK isn't technically EU) I really doubt, unless you go for the parallel route (with much higher prices and no direct Ford warranty). The only hope I have, it's because of the GTD (incredibly it is officially...
Don't worry, I needed a magnify lens too to read that damn code. :)
I believe the only way to delete a keyfob, is to delete em all and programming from scratch. If i'm not wrong you can only program up to 3 keys simultaneously, so eventually when you'll program the new again (using the two you...
The two seems to be equivalent, if that's the case, neither the one I've linked would have worked for you. Before looking at what may be wrong, I would start with the FCC code printed on your (original) keyfob (it's inside the slot when you remove the physical key), does it matches?
Although...
Sometime that happen when your changes aren't sent back to the servers (if it's a recent change or for whatever undefined reason), so when a new update updates that specific module, the previous sets are applied.
EPA e other limitations (same for the assists). You don't want your car starting with non eco-modes, or with aids disabled (luckily we have a solution for this..), etc. Mostly aren't Ford choice, but they are "forced" to do so.
Yes, before it was: select custom, keep speed limit pressed for seconds, double click on lane assistant... a pain every time you stop/restart your car. It was fun the first days/weeks then it become stupid after a while. Now (at least) it's just double click to select custom and there you go...

EDIT: i'm saying a stupidity... it was to avoid to remember those things at each start, but you still have to select the custom mode. I must had a dream last night (or read...
With my driving style (as of you rarely track, just spirited drive 90% of the time) my OIL change alert show up at least 3 times during the normal cycle (as said, every 5000Km or so, instead of 15000), that's because the "computer" measure how you drive... so I have to reset it myself every...
They last so much! And I'm a spirited driver... so far 22k and they still halfway.
I've asked the price to the dealer and they doesn't appear to be overpriced like it was for the S550 (here in EU), so when I'll be time, I'll leave it to them (if the new OEM will last this long!).
Btw, it wasn't just for 30 minutes, I've posted what's happening in a multiple set of combinations, even after have driven for hours on the highway. The most odd one was: car sitting in the garage for a week, no sound, moved for 200m to the washer (it's just next to my house), the sound...
Some functions goes "sleep" when the battery reaches "low" levels (you can check in the app).
I can assure you that after a week or more sitting in the garage the battery voltage is a WAY lower than after have a run on the highway for an hour or more and come back (measured).
So what I've said...
Mine (cold) shakes as well but the other day I've noticed it greatly: after being parked in the garage since the day before, I've had a very short trip (less than 1Km), parked along the street with the engine running, went in a shop for less than a minute.. and went out to find my gf scared as...
This will be more useful, it doesn't shut it down completely (if you'll ever need it later?), but will remember the last settings even if you cycle the car, and won't turn it back always on as it is by default...
