Being right next to the ignition button is a bit of a blessing. I had an econo-box loaner car one time that not only put the switch down on the center console by the cup holders, but also required a SECOND button press: you had something like 10-15 seconds to press ENTER on your steering wheel...
The manual I test drove DID have the A.S.S. It drove me nuts conking out at every light until I figured out what was going on and flipped the switch off.
You need to turn it off every time you start the car. I am told this is a U.S. requirement (for Ford to avoid gas guzzler penalties, or...
I was disappointed that DAR used the S550 model... I really like the "proper" S650 style. And your installation woes made it all the worse. But I have to say that it looks better on your car somehow than in DARs promotional photos. Good paint match, too, from what I can tell.
That spoiler...
I want to PAINT my rear decklid with the traditional Mustang blackout.
My problem with paint, though, is getting it DARK enough. In the pictures below, you can see that the standard Ford Shadow Black/Absolute Black paint is nowhere near as dark as the black on the tail lights. I think they...
Just keeping everyone else in the loop...
I was privately contacted by another member who says they installed the 4D Tech Auto Start/Stop Eliminator. Easy installation, and works as advertised. (Meaning that when you start your vehicle, the A.S.S. will wake up in the same state that it was in...
The 6-speed manual GT I test drove had ASS. It was driving me crazy until I figured out what was going on. When my car finally arrives, one of the first things I have to do is crack open the instrument panel and install the 4D Tech "Stop/Start Eliminator"...
I spoke with DAR on the phone... the way the guy was talking, it sounds like they won't ever be making a 7th gen PP spoiler for either the convertible or the coupe. Just the 6th gen style altered to fit. (I still think it looks too "rounded" for the more angular 7th gen cars).
But they DO say...
I spoke with DAR on the phone this morning. They have no plans at this time to offer the 2024-25 Gen7 Performance Package style wing for either the coupe or convertible. They're sticking with the Gen6 style only. Thppptt! Come on, aftermarket guys! Where's all the Mustang stuff?
No idea. I don't have mine yet. I don't have my CAR yet. Still waiting on the VIN from Ford. 🙁
As far as any passengers go, with few exceptions they can just keep their cotton pickin' fingerprints off of my screens! (I'm wanting a screen protector too. I'm definitely entertaining...
Might be a bad install. I have some better pics for you. I've always disliked the "iPad nailed to the dash" look. This is pretty clean and makes the screens look less like an afterthought.
I have mine on order. It comes with black stitching, and a "connector" piece it you have two screens.
P.S. - Their pics still have the protective plastic on the spoiler. But what kind of astonished me was that they still have the stock antenna. I had figured they would need to put in a stubby for clearance when the trunk is raised. Apparently not.
DAR Spoilers just came out with one for the convertible, but they used the 6th Gen S550. To me it looks too rounded on the more angular S650 body. But if you're happy with it, it's probably the only wing style available right now for the convertible. (I dashed off a request to them just today...
I saw the RTR in person... the thing sticks out far enough you could rest your dinner plate on it. I'm opting for the Feral Industries, myself. Of course, all these things are personal preference. I just have no need to rest dishes on my splitter. Helpful tip on the shipping though, thanks...
For well over a decade now, I've seen people praising the fact that Mustangs have functional hood vents instead of fake ones. So I was surprised and disappointed when they decided it would be a good design idea to make a fake grill. I'm becoming accustomed to it, but I still think they look...
DAR has pics and availability now, but they used the old S550 model, which looks too rounded on the new S650 IMHO. (Seems to sit a tad high, too). But it’s the only game in town so far...
