  1. Too Many Dark Horses going abroad?

You've bought 16 new vehicles from a dealership. Were they not willing to burn a priority allocation? Or make a trade with one of the dozen dealerships with a Dark Horse sitting on their lot? Did you reach out to the national, volume dealerships who ship allocations? I ask because, there are...
  2. How long to get an order number?

Check with your dealer that they have your correct email in the system. You should receive the "we've received your order" email as soon as your dealer places it.
  3. Too Many Dark Horses going abroad?

Yeah, I was gonna say, that's not "generational", that's "special child syndrome". That's just silly. There are Dark Horses sitting on dealer lots in the United States, and have been for months, you could go buy one today. International buyers don't have that luxury, those enthusiasts are...
  4. Ordered Car is now built but showing $1500 more than when ordered

It's only money, they print more of it every day. I'm only half kidding there, if you can afford a new car, your time is probably more expensive than your money. That said, the dealer should get it sorted out with the price protection.
  5. Automatic Shift Knobs

After 3 months of sitting on my desk, my Barton shifter is installed. Definitely a recommended upgrade.
  6. Regret?

Fixed that for you: You're asking people to validate your negative opinions, and getting angry when they disagree. I'm confused how this will solve your problem of owning a car you dislike.
  7. I don't get the Dark Horse vs GT

Meh, if all you do is drag race you're missing the beauty of the manual Dark Horse. This is a pony that prances nimbly on all roads. Take it out on a canyon drive, or hit an apex on a track day, and all the discussion of quarter mile times falls away in the wake of its refined handling...
  8. Regret?

Agreed. If you're not happy with your car, then maybe it's not the right fit. I had a 2018 coupe and now have a 2024 convertible. Everything about my new car feels like a substantial upgrade. I've gone out driving backroads every night the past week. But I'm also a motorcyclist and enthusiast...
  9. Regret?

I went from an S550 Ecoboost Coupe to an S650 Ecoboost Convertible (with PP & Magneride), the refinement on the S650 convertibles is amazing. Top down never gets old, its why motorcycles are fun regardless of if they're 250cc or 1000cc.
  10. What did you do to your S650 Mustang today?? 🙋🏻‍♂️

Nice! At long last. Time to flex the Canadian Dark Horse:
  11. Brembo Brake Question

Yup, they're black. Get the Brembos, they are so freaking good.
  12. Seat height

My old S550, my wife had to sit on a booster seat. Thankfully, the S650 seats come up high enough for her to see over the dash, though that may be specific to the Premium Convertible, as we didn't test the coupes. Recaros were a no-go for the reasons you've mentioned, she'd be basically sitting...
  13. Finally in production!

Means you're going to have your car in the next few weeks. My car went from "in production" to at the dealership far quicker than I expected.
  14. Regret?

I can't get over how refined the S650 magneride is compared to the S550 on a curvy backroad at speed. For people who aren't already in the advanced track group, a lot of the refinements are in areas you won't be able to fully appreciate, certainly not on a test drive. But whether you like a car...
  15. I don’t get the Dark Horse vs. EcoBoost

Not unless you're making some "True Scotsman" argument about Mustangs. The difference between an enthusiast and a wannabe is the ability to control vehicles at the limits of traction.
  16. I don’t get the Dark Horse vs. EcoBoost

    Deliberate practice.
  17. I don’t get the Dark Horse vs. EcoBoost

Ah yes, exactly the people I turn to for engineering expertise. Should I take the sales manager's advice and get the triple warranty on the infotainment system too? /sarcasm It's a turbo engine that wants 93+ octane (98+ EU) fuel. It gets put in the hands of people who run cheap gas, skip oil...
  18. I don’t get the Dark Horse vs. EcoBoost

The "min-maxers" always run into this problem in the enthusiast realm, because they just want to be patted on the back and told "good job, you made the perfect choice". Their pony is best pony. That's painfully at odds with the reality of diminishing returns, tradeoffs, and highly-specialized...
