I had been saving for a while waiting for a spec I loved. I wanted a GT350, Mach 1 type handling spec. So maybe it's not worth the money to some people but the handling, track upgrades, and looks were well worth it to me. I am not modding the car except for light weight wheels.
This is my exact spec all the way down to the painted stripes. I don't like writing on my cars and the painted stripes doesn't have it. Plus no potential air gap with the PPF. I really just love this spec. I think 88K is a pretty good price if I can remember.
I think my mind has changed a little after reading this post. It is well known that Porsche sells so many other cars and variants of their sports cars to allow them to make enthusiast models and make them somewhat affordable.
So how can Ford modify the Mustang to drastically increase sales to...
I want all of this too but IMO these are just "specs." The American Mustang means something. The car has an identity. The posi rear end, the V8, the sound. the burnouts. Goodness I have never seen so much complaining about the cost of a car, I can't imagine if the thing is 1 penny more. I...
Anytime you make a big change to the approach of a vehicle it requires huge investment. If Chevy didn't move the engine obviously they probably wouldn't have had to make that big of an investment. I still haven't heard a good argument for changing the Mustang. AWD & lighter is really all I...
Wow. Two years and millions of dollars and you have to go when the hotel has a vacancy. Lol
Perhaps this forum can agree on one thing. Thumbs up if this is the best sounding nurburgring lap of all time! I can't stop watching it to listen.
I read this whole thread. I don't really want to try and Google it. Can someone explain why they went forward with a wet track? Why not wait for optimal conditions?
No I actually added 7 years so now I have 10. If I think I am getting a good deal I will buy it when I purchase the car. Other times I have waited until the factory warranty almost expires. I am keeping the car so it wasn't an issue.
Your post is spot on. In the savagegeese video about the DH the Ford engineer said they wanted to lower the roof and the waistline on the S650 but it would have been millions of dollars in investment so of course they didn't do it.
I know everyone wants a newer revised Mustang and so do I...
Are you suggesting this so it can get closer to a 50 50 weight distribution? I have no idea what it is now but my understanding is that the configuration you speak of is to help with the weight distribution which of course enhances the handling.
I thought we keep saying we want a new platform. We want another variant. We want aftermarket support. My understanding is that this only happens when a lot of people purchase the car. If you aren't going to consider non enthusiasts in your debate, well then I guess all of your points are...
Don't forget that Mustangs do mean something to a lot of non enthusiasts. They don't care Ecoboost or GT they just want that Horse. And Ford has done a great job with styling so they feel like they are in a Mustang. I get that specs are important but regular people think the Ecoboost is fast...
I have enjoyed the debate here with the Ecoboost vs Type R.
Me personally have met several people with an Ecoboost and they love those cars. One I met said he couldn't afford a GT. Then he went on to talk about how badass the Ecoboost was. Not taking sides because I wouldn't cross shop an...
