Just out of curiosity does anyone know WHY Ford recommends the removal of the gurney flap for on road use? The way they word it almost makes it sound like it isn't street legal for some reason.
Outside of maybe eating at fuel economy a bit I can't see it making any changes to street driving and...
Highest I've seen mine is 105C (221F), but keep in mind the highest ambient temperature my car has seen since I took delivery has been maybe 4C (40F). If you're concerned and want to drive it harder invest in an oil cooler if you don't already have one, and if you do see if there are any larger...
The poll starts at 40? Woah I am way out of my demographic here I took delivery of my S650 shortly after turning 26! Though I guess my priorities are in a different place than most in my generation. I work hard so I can play harder, and I'd rather go homeless and hungry than be without this car...
And as for the Canadian pricing on here yes it's true Canadians got their Mustangs for a steal of a deal. Not sure if it had to do with the engines being built here or not but my best guess is a combination of a weaker Canadian dollar and lower purchasing power overall in our weaker economy led...
Bear with me but these are the things included in the package to my understanding after living with the car for about 6 months now.
The main advantages of the 401A package are accent stitching package, can't speak for other interior colours but the light grey on the black interior accent...
I left mine in the trunk as I took delivery in late October and they would just get clogged with snow and ice during the winter anyways. I'll probably run them in the summer and put them on/take them off along with the winter tires as necessary. I'll see if they make much of a difference, but if...
If you were driving down a road that was rough enough to have you bouncing in the seat like mad and obviously threw your Magnaride out of whack so badly it either failed or went into failsafe mode you should have either
A. Slowed down for the road conditions
or
B. Not been driving on that...
My guess is it's either different software tuning for different markets or maybe the steering angle sensor is faulty/undersensitive. I've heard a few different people now complain about the alert constantly going off in the span of a few miles.
Mine remembers if it is turned on or off, and for...
Huh well what do you know. Guess I never noticed they were there as they blend in with the Shadow Black paint so well. Still interesting they decided to run a whole other SKU without them just for the vehicles specced with Recaros.
I'll have to check my car when I get home from this business trip. I don't have the Recaro seats but I didn't even KNOW these cars had turn signals in the mirrors. I'm guessing mine are there I just never noticed because they look like they are on the front of the mirror and I don't spend a lot...
Is there something I am missing here? I have a Canadian spec 401a without the Recaro seats and I've never noticed having integrated turn signals in my mirrors?? Is this something my car SHOULD have had or is it just US based cars that have it?
I go teal primary, secondary and ambient because it is almost bang on the dash backlighting colour my 92 Prelude had, which was my first stick shift car and the car I spent the most time driving as a teenager. Never forget where you came from.
I only got it because it came as part of the performance pack. If it was a standalone option I wouldn't have got it as in all reality it's more of an aesthetic thing to have a "handbrake lever" sitting next to my manual transmission gearshift, even though the lever is really just a glorified on...
Saying using paddle shifters is shifting "manually" is like saying you washed your clothes manually by pushing the button to start your washing machine.
While I agree the paddle shifts do add back that all important versatility of being able to be in whatever gear you want whenever you want...
For those of you wondering how a properly equipped Mustang performs in the winter too, my Mustang has full paint protection, interior protection, undercoat and electronic rust prevention because I PLANNED on winter driving it. Dealer provides a 10 year exterior damage warranty including any rust...
I didn't spend 72K CAD on a car just to spend more money insuring and driving a second car and storing/winterizing this car in the winter. As far as I'm concerned letting a car sit half the year is probably one of the hardest things on a vehicle even if it is properly winterized and stored...
Because I run my Mustang year round in the far north of Canada where temperatures lower than -30°C are frequent and can get as cold as -55°C. This is lower than the temperature the manual states you should start using 0W30. Just makes more sense to run it all the time in my climate.
I first checked my oil hot at about 1000mi/1600km and it was right on the low dot. Added a quart then and hasn't moved since. Gonna get my first oil change at 3000mi/4800km. I know sooner probably would have been better but I want to make sure any oil consumption is fully stabilized before I go...
So good news is I went and got a haircut and the car sitting for long enough seems to have reset it.
Bad news is basically every driver aid system has now been disabled. No traction control, electronic stability control, anti lock brakes, no blind spot or cross traffic alert, no drive modes...
Did anyone else have the Sync 10.1.0 Update completely break their interior lighting? The interior lights are gone, the menu for colour customization and ambient light level is gone, and all the icons on the screen that change colour to match are completely black, they function but I can only...
