Same thing happened to me when I was replacing the amber side marker lights with white ones on a Subaru WRX I had years ago. Cars today are made to crumple hence the lightweight steel used.

I do the same but if I have to park in a lot somewhere I always put the top up. Some days thats a lot of up and down!

A broken right ankle in 2013 put an end to my heel/toe days of downshifting unfortunately so having the rev match feature that works well is just fine by me.

Never thought I would use the rev match feature after 55 years of driving manuals, so I must be getting lazy, but I really love it. Perfect rev match every time.

Interesting, because upon reading this page in the manual I just went out into my garage and turned it on and I added it to my favorite button so I can turn it on and off as needed, although here in Flatistan Florida I would hardly ever use it. 😎

Yes there is. Go to Festures-Driver Assistance and slide the switch to off or you can add it to your Favorites button to turn it on or off. Easy peasy
