30 min drive to work for me. Small pulls on the way it got up to 212 and bounced around between that and 208. Never went higher though. The cooling sucks on base models. I had to almost drive like a granny to get it do that. Driving harder would have absolutely made it continue to climb.
What are high cylinder head temps? How much water wetter? I keep reading that 230 oil temps are really normal. That’s what keeps me away from the oil cooler.
So far for base models all I have found is oil coolers which I’m not really interested in. If Ford released these cars like this then I guess all is well.
That’s the temp I was thinking if my memory serves correct it got to 228-230 the other day but it didn’t stay long. I guess this is the curse of having a base model.
After stop and go traffic and small pulls in the city almost exclusively using the paddle shifters. Pulled into the driveway with 226 on the dash for the a10. Was actually 228 before I snapped the pic. Does ford have any guidelines on how hot the A10 actually gets? I’m aware the engine oil temp...
Not sure if you are aware but it’s sound advice to not cold start and just let the car sit. Driving the car gently is 1 million times better for warming up and getting things going. A simple start wait for the initial idle to drop is sufficient. Long drawn out idles don’t assist the car at all
Wouldn’t work for me highway is 3 minutes from my home and I drive daily for work currently. Thank you though. I believe this is a topic that is subjective. There are probably many right answers.
