It will beat quite a few 911 but will it beat the GT2 RS that is already seven years old? Possibly...
Current GT3 class cars would lap the Nürburgring at 6:35 something. If the GTD is a street legal version of the GT3 class Mustang - and current information point in that direction - with 800hp...
Literally everyone, even GM officials, have stated behind closed doors that the ZR1 will be more expensive than the Z06 but still within a reasonable price range... $200k will be a viable price. There might be some options to push the price but one will be able to buy a ZR1 for $200k.
Besides...
The GT350s are getting more and more expensive by the day... it's crazy. The Mach 1 on the other hand is just a slightly tuned GT with left over parts. Nothing truely special about it although the performance isn't all too bad. However, the Shelby has a nicer interior and a flat plane V8 is a...
I think a lot of people would love that. However, during Covid most manufacturer figured out that cars are desired and that people can be charged a hell lot more for absolutely zero reasons but greedy profit.
It's worse if former bargain brands are dragged into the exotic territory and it's the...
The problem is that every system is different...
B&O is or was offered by BMW, Mercedes, Audi (if I'm not mistaken), Ford and others. Yet non of these systems is really comparable and they have absolutely nothing in common with a home theater system. B&O was or is the top range product for some...
Don't go for the B&O. Use the money or slightly more to get a killer sound system installed from a third party. You'll most certainly get a better amp, a better sub and speakers.
If you have the H&K system in your M340 and expect something similar from B&O system you'll be disappointed.
Could be but logic tells me that a new platform wouldn't be established at a foreign manufacturer. Besides, I doubt that any future 'base' mustang would have something like a carbon frame. As a result, it is unlikely that Ford is testing a new platform at Multimatic or that anything meaningful...
I think you have it all wrong regarding the GTD... It's not a body kit or an extensive overhaul, it's a completely different car. It's hand built by Multimatic and that's why it is so expensive but that will also be the reason why the car will perform much better than any other Mustang. One...
Maybe it will have AWD and the refreshed S650 might get AWD as well.
Hybrid might be another option or in combination...
Anyhow, I doubt that they put anything but the Predator engine in it. Turbos would alter its characteristics too much.
Sry but that sounds like a lot of marketing blabla (fighter jet stuff, F1 brakes etc.).
The fact is that the GTD has to prove itself. One would assume that the GTD should race the Green Hell in sub 7 minutes but that’s not that easy. I hope that the GTD does well but history has shown that the...
Almost right. There was a Ford event pre S650 release or around that time and there was a sign that was not supposed to be there saying something like "GT500 successor in 2025".
But that's basically it. However, that info and all other rumors are more likely good guesses as one would expect...
95er Benzin drin? 🙈
That's waaay slower than the S550 and as slow as a S550 EU manual... The A10 S650 should do ~4.6 seconds. Still somewhat slow in 2024 but not that slow.
It will definitely inherit some of the Mustang styling - hence the name. Just look at the Mach-E. It has zero in common with the regular Mustang but based on styling it somehow resembles a Mustang (tribar lights, pony emblem, front somewhat similar etc.).
Besides, I doubt that any further...
"Stock on stock" the M3 competition makes roughly 100hp more WHP than any stock S650. Ford may say it has 486 or 500 (DH) but the reality is that it cannot be measured on any dyno. A regular dyno will display something like 420-450hp and the numbers a regular S650 puts down are exactly in that...
Thank you for that perspective. 😃
Since you mentioned it I think my BMW G20 330d is a baby BMW M4 GT3 and since both cars, the M4 GT3 and the Mustang GT3 are relatives and the GTD is the street legal version of the GT3 Race Car, my BMW is almost like a GTD.
Very nice, didn't realized that...
For that kind of times the S650 needs at least some +100hp extra. The M3 competition with its extra 100ish HP over the S650 is barely able to produce these numbers (faster 0-60 but 11.5 on the ¼)...
Lovely times. However, the integrated Ford software (SYNC4) is known for showing incorrect numbers.
Try to get your hands on independent instruments and redo the testing. Maybe even some phone apps will give you more reliable numbers.
