While the EVs this skunkworks team is developing are truly revolutionary, many have said the biggest benefit they brought to Ford was the unique approach they took to vehicle engineering, design, and manufacturing that resulted in lower costs, better quality, and faster develop speeds. Rethinking the way ford creates new vehicles at every level is a huge deal, now we're seeing that start to influence Ford's non EV vehicles.
I personally hope one of the vehicle programs this mentality is applied to is the next gen mustang. They were able to improve costs, drastically reduce weight and complexity, and improve quality. Those are attributes that would all suit the mustang really well.
