Dallas or Texas Ford Performance Guys- which dealer?

Well it’s finally time.

I have 3000 miles on my ‘25 GT, and I’m about ready to pull the trigger on the Ford Performance Supercharger install.

Does anyone local to DFW have any experience with the various Ford Dealers?

Trying to decide between good offers out the door from Five Star Ford in Lewisville, AutoNation Frisco, Holiday Ford in Whitesboro, and Platinum Ford North in Pilot Point.

Any recommendations would be appreciated..

You should contact True Street Motor Sports in McKinney. I got a Lethal Performance, Whipple stage 1 and had them do the install. Pricing was competitive and the work exceeded my expectations. Ignore the black shaded areas I just washed the car and wiped up the water that dripped off the hood vents....

Yeah thanks- appreciate the recommendation but I’m sticking with the Ford Performance one at a Ford Dealership for the powertrain warranty. At this point that’s the most important thing to me.

The Whipple is a ford performance part and as long as its done by ASE cert. mechanic you stay covered with the 3/36 warranty. I had mine done and took it to the local Ford dealer in NWA for warranty work and had no problems.

What about Five Star Ford of Dallas? They seem quite enthusiast oriented with the cars they have in the showroom and their collection upstairs. I've only had oil changes done there but they are the first place I would inquire about a supercharger install.

They were not competitive on the quote compared to the other dealers. About $2000 higher… I tried to go with them.

Of all of the shops in the metroplex, I've had two in-person recommendations of this shop in addition to recs on FB. Would inquire with them as well.

If I had to choose a Ford dealer I would go Five Star Ford and live with the price. They had atleast 7 supercharged S650s last time I went and they seem to know their stuff since they probably do this installs regularly.

Can you ask them if they will price match? I know it sounds cheesy, but the worst they can say is NO, then do the salesman thing where you "Split the difference". SC out of my current budget, but worth an ask.

The F/P warranty only requires an ASE certified mechanic ... and the paperwork be filed. It doesn't have to be at a Ford stealership.

Yep. I know. I’ve spent literally about 2 hours on the phone with them.

bottom line…

they said it’s a double edged sword.

likely going to get a cleaner install through a performance shop with an ASE tech, HOWEVER, doing it through a multi multi million dollar FP Ford Dealer like AutoNation- something goes wrong with the install - either FP OR the Dealership will make it right due to the Ford OEM relationship.

whereas the performance shop doesn’t have the capital or the relationship with Ford to worry about so if FP doesn’t cover it; you’re likely SOL.

my son is also a Ford Tech- and he’s personally seen the dealer and Ford step up when FP didn’t all because his shop had installed it.

Tough decision.
