I use Autotrader when looking for comps. https://www.autotrader.com/

$40K for what you describe rates low price-wise. If a retail sale from a dealer, I'd be critical. If a private sale from an individual, I'd want to know more.

See if you can get an oasis report from a Ford dealer. This report will list any warranty work that was accomplished.

Find out about the service history. Being a 2024, consistent oil changes would be about it. But there might be something else.

I'd also confirm what, if any mods have been done, no matter how insignificant.

Any sale these days, it's always worthwhile to have an independent 3rd party inspect the car. Find a place you can trust, pay them an hour of labor, and ask them to visually and function check everything.

Edit,

If you can post an ad or photos in this thread, that would help. Multiple people looking at this and that can bring out any number of things, good and bad.

Excellent advice, even on a car with just 8K miles. Any seller who won't let you do this has something to hide.

Just to confuse the matter, I've bought cars after a PPI and had issues anyway, but nothing serious. And this car is under warranty, which is nice.

40k sounds OK, just make sure that this is what you want, options, colors, etc. Don't compromise.
