So, the beast has been sitting idle since before Christmas, first day off and it was too nice a day not to stretch its legs.

I have been wanting to do this for a while to see how the speed timers work, don't know how accurate, but a lot of fun.

Also tried out the no lift shift....over 5krpm and throttle to the floor and tell you what, works beautifully.

Tried the 0-100, and pretty impressed with the numbers....like I said, I don't know how accurate this is, but a bit of fun without breaking any road rules......

So come on....give it a go and post a pic of the results....

Manual, Tyre pressures 33 all round, 31 Celcius, drove the DH for about 15min before doing, sport mode and 2500 rpm launch control

3.46, 4.12 (yup missed a gear) and 3.41. Did the 3 runs in about 5 min.

Was surprised how easy it did it......0-200 will be on the track🤫

Anyone else tried this yet - did one without launch control and got a 4.32s........did again straight away with launch control at 4000rpm and got a 3.42.

Accurate or not.....it is a bit of fun, for the DH 6 speed, it is only 1 gear change before it flashes up session ended on dash (2nd good to 118kmh before electronic cut)....would love to have an upgrade so when it counts down the lights it uses the mario kart sound effects :cwl:

Bit of s difference between No LC and LC, great time though.

Haven't tried it myself, but in a GT I'm pretty sure the Getrag unit's famous lockout issue would scupper a good time :D

The electronic cut at redline is pretty brutal if you're not expecting it. On my car it doesn't bounce of a limiter, it literally cuts off spark or whatever and you get thrown forward in your seat (please tell me that's normal!)

not close to accurate. With good tires maybe 4.0.

Thats what happens, somewhere between 7k and 7.2k.....then takes a bit to fire again, or change up gear and goes again, experienced on the track day when mucking around

I haven't played with any of this, nor bothered with the Auxiliary Gauges, due to having Waze running just about everywhere I go.

Need to be comfortable if Waze can give audible alerts whilst other stuff is being displayed on the centre screen. (Haven't tried that yet)

I have hit the rev limiter once, (in 2nd) and that was coming back from our last meet up in Lowood.

Coming out of a T intersection back out onto Fernvale Rd. Absolutely floored it.

With eyes ahead, and it was a WTF moment, until I glanced down at the taco again.
Lots of fun we can't get away with in the burbs.

😜

No LC mode also polishes the bitumen for about 20m as well:sunglasses:

If you want crowd sourced traffic apps for cams, cops etc, JBV1 is a good choice. It's a V1 Gen2 control app, but has a stand alone mode that gives you VVaze functionality but is a lot more customisable. Range of alerts, reminders of tracking alerts for historic contacts etc.
I use it when driving in OZ, as I believe detectors are illegal almost everywhere.
Free too.

Not track apps, but track day with time attack, awesome weather....so track mode and laps of QR of switchback track and sprint track....15yrs since flat out on a track albeit x30 gokart.....but these cars are so much fun.

No brake fade......tyres very happy at 34psi, p zeros feathered up very nicely.....44litres to 100km, so N1t3mre enjoyed a drink as well

Awesome, good to see someone using a DH for what it's designed for

Haha, the car is quite capable.....the driver needs more practice.....first session and had someone say....gee, thought I would be faster....did get him in times at end of day.

There is so much more handling in the car, so much fun, and QR is a great track for low consequence if you make a mistake.....can't wait for next track day in May
