And I was a bit disappointed. It seemed way too tame. It seems almost quieter than Track setting on factory system. Ordered an X Pipe last night and hopefully it will liven it up a bit.

Let me get this straight, you cut out the active exhaust for an axle back?

I did. The factory tips look terrible and I like it loud. The active exhaust was on the car when I bought it with 2k miles

Ok, interesting. I take it you went with the quad tips. Also, did you have to get the bracket that retains the motors so the computer doesn't throw codes?

I didn't have the active exhaust, but did add the dual tip Roush. I am curious of how much louder it would be with a resonator delete. I want something just a touch louder (H not X), but not as loud as active exhaust. I believe the Roush axle back (at least the one I have) is considered a resonator (more targets specific frequencies than total volume).

Interesting datapoint. I have a non-active base GT, added Roush axleback, finding it loud enough but will have to hear an active exhaust.
