Hi,
Has anyone that has lowered your 650 install the part « Steeda S650 Premium Front Lateral Links w/ Extended Ball Joint Part Number: 555-4919 »?
It’s an expensive part, and I’m wondering if it really helps the handling.
Is the improvement noticeable in fast canyon roads / in general ?
Thanks

Hey JML, you will notice a huge change in the way your car drives after installing these. Especially for the type of driving you have mentioned. These lateral links are going to correct your roll center and help get more tire on the ground. In turn, you will see huge improvements in cornering.

I would also suggest getting the bump steer kit for even better results.

Shoot me an email, [email protected] if you have any questions.

Ok, thanks for the reply.
I was planning on ordering both together.
Any complications with the installation? I’m not doing the job myself.

Install is very straight forward. Just keep in mind that you will need to get an alignment done after the install. If you go to the product page and scroll down, there will be a tab that says "Specs/Install" and you can open a PDF of the install instructions. If you are having a mechanic do the install, they will get it done in no time!

The ball joints on my s550 went bad because of the stress lowering the car puts on that joint. Replaced at 15,000 miles, car now had 47,000 miles on it and they are like new yet. Not sure where I read it, but I believe that S650 already has the extended ball joints, but I could be wrong. My Dark Horse sits much lower than my S550 did when it was new, so it might be true.

I believe those lateral links are the OE links with the X24 extended ball joints installed. They are an upgraded lateral link for the S550, but OE on S650. The benefit of buying the whole link is you don’t have to worry about pressing out the old and in the new ball joints.

@kylesteeda please correct me if I’m wrong.
