It appears that the same control stalk adjustment changes intermittent wiper delay AND rain sensing sensitivity. Are these two features mutually exclusive. On other cars I have owned, you could select either feature from the stalk. On the Mustang, it looks like you have to go into settings on the touch screen to turn rain sensing on and off. Am I wrong?

yes - rain sensing is on - the adjustment changes sensitivity. Rain sensing off - the adjustment changes the intermittent wipe interval manually.

My 24 Dark Horse has two different settings on the are off the column on the right side. Is that what you are talking about.

The column stalk has to be on for the rain sensors to work.

Thanks. That's what I thought. The choice for rain sensing on/off is not on the stalk as it is on many cars.

However if you put the stalk up two places (or three) it will run the wipers at two different speeds over-riding the auto-wipers

The rain sensing feature was among the first items that I switched off. All it does is add extra cost when you need a new windshield.

Turning it off will not save you any money!

The sensor will still be there when you have a new screen fitted

It will also still have to be calibrated with a new windscreen as all the ADAS features use the camera.

That's what i said. It's an added expense, hopefully to your insurer, if you need a replacement. I had cars with Head Up Display that jacked a windshield cost up because of the coating. At least I like Head Up Display, and would option it if it were offered.

You said you turned it off which achieves nothing at all money wise.

Right, I know shutting it off doesn't save money. I didn't buy a GT to save money. I turned it off because I don't like it. I turned off the rev matcher, too. It assumes you're downshifting immediately when sometimes you like to make another decision.
