I’m at work for a couple of days but will refresh my memory when I get back to the car. In the meantime, here’s a terrible image of where I needed to file: the lip that surrounds the nut fitting, where it ran into the MMR block.

I did remove the alternator belt and gingerly used a pry bar to jostle the alternator, if memory serves (that’s a big maybe these days).

I completely forget what I did with the sensor - will advise when I get home.

edit: I also added an aftermarket oil pressure gauge. The cooling “manifold” that gets mounted behind the wheel liner has a 1/8th fitting/removable screw plug that works perfectly.

Hello,
Could you please advise what you did with the sensor. I have my kit and will be installing it soon. I’m kinda lost how to proceed. What oil pressure gauge did you go with, how did you mount it up inside your car?

Could you please elaborate on this :

“ The cooling “manifold” that gets mounted behind the wheel liner has a 1/8th fitting/removable screw plug that works perfectly.“

Sorry for all the questions, just got my kit and don’t have an idea how to proceed with this portion of the install regarding the sensor and a secondary pressure gauge.

Thank you so much for your help !

We actually swapped into a different Mustang but if I recall correctly….
there is a small plug, that can be removed with an Allen key, in the block that the oil filter screws into. (Depending on which setup you have). If not there, somewhere in the kit should be an Allen key (hex side fitting) that you can remove. In its place, you can plumb an oil/fluid gauge.
I used the AEM X-series fluid gauge and routed the line through the firewall. I think there’s a grommeted hole you can snake through but I might’ve drilled it - sorry the memory is foggy.
I anticipated that we might swap out cars so rather than mounting the gauge permanently, I had a piece of steel cut to fit the small shelf/cubby in front of the shifter; I had strong magnetic bendy-fixtures that held my oil and boost gauges to the steel. It worked surprisingly well!

Thank you so much for that info. AD. Yes there is a plug for the oil sensor present on the MMR supplied fittings.

Here’s a pic for reference for anyone that may be wondering how it’s situated. My tech removed the alternator completely.

One thing I’ll add, according to my tech he had to make the harness longer for the oil sensor. It’s a rather short harness he stated so he made the harness longer.

he cut some slits into the driver side wheel well also. If you decide to get the performance pack/ DH wheel well you’ll have to change the belly pan also.
I also added a Moshimoto radiator. It just fit next to the Roush air to water intercooler.
I also added the Moshimoto reservoir, which was also a tight fit next to the oil catch can.
In the end everything does look nice n tightly.
I had also order a DH fan as it pushes more cfm than the base model Mustang. Unfortunately the shrouds are not interchangeable. The base Mustang fan motor is round and the DH fan motor is square. So I had to hit the bullet and then rest the entire assembly.
Hopefully I can have Roush change the algorithm to reflect the proper oil temp.
